Earth From Space - PBS Nova episode

I watched this last night. Simply incredible.

We know that on a basic level everything is related and dependent to make up our world but this really tied the smallest of things together and created that wow effect. If nothing else, the importance of our space program and the benefits of investing in satellites to gather data is really highlighted.

Ball pits are just toilets filled with brightly colored balls instead of water.

Well done. Amazing correlation of satellite data showing connections between ocean currents/temps, tectonic forces, etc. Plankton produce more oxygen for "us" to breathe than the Amazon. "Fast" turn around from fires (to new growth). Impact of lightning (nitrates/fertilization). Ancient seabed organic dust from Africa impact growth in Amazon basin.
