Would it be nice to have Gaborik's speed and game breaking talent? Absolutely! That said, I'm on Heater's bandwagon. He did well last season, but this year could be something special providing everyone stays healthy. He's got 3 goals already, and had he not whiffed on so many point blank shots, he'd have even more right now. I expect those "whiffs" to become fewer a couple weeks from now once he (and everyone else) are in better game shape. Parise (along with Koivu) could be the best dang thing to happen to him.

Of course the Nucks and Flames will be a 3-point game.

Lupul signs extension with Toronto, then breaks arm. That there is some Wild-like luck.

Gaborik, as far as I know hasn't had a groin injury in since his surgery. I would love to have Gabby back. Wish he had stayed with the Wild. It would of been a risky move, with his injury history and just having surgery. But there's a lot of upside if he stays healthy. And now if he was playing with Parise. That would be an awesome line. I hate having a line with one guy having great speed, and then the other two too slow to keep up. Makes rushes up the ice more difficult.

Eh, Gaborik never had any heart. He only ever wanted to play for himself, and that is not what this team needs nor wants. He is an amazingly skilled player, but a player who will disappear for extended periods of time and does absolutely nothing when he does not have the puck.

I wish him luck out east, but I am happy he's not here.

For a guy with no heart he is pretty effective. 5 out of the 8 seasons with the Wild he scored 30 or more goals.

Debatable, Gabby was bad in 07-08 but he was huge during the 02-03 run. He has 18 goals in 54 playoff games while Heater has 15 in 66.

i think the "no heart" rep is as inaccurate as heatley's "cancer" rep.

This is how I feel as well. Would I take Gaborik on my team? Any day. But would he be the center piece to build my team around? Absolutely not.

Injuries are no excuse. Injuries are no excuse. Can't wait to throw that in faces if they try to use it.

Not close to debatable.

.86 PPG > .65 PPG

In regards to Gabby, I think it is a little more complicated than just "no heart."

The dude is straight up lazy at times. If Gabby does not want to play, he does not play. He just floats around waiting for someone to pass him the puck, and he'll take a swing at it, but that's about it. He is completely useless when he is not scoring.

He has never pushed himself above and beyond. This is the most evident to me in those games where he actually gets pissed off and really does try, because then he flies, and I mean he is something to watch when he does that. He just never does except for once in a blue moon.

The Rangers have seen this as well. He still disappears for multiple games.

He is not a leader and he is lazy.

They are not only in trouble tonight but in general. They could even miss the playoffs this season.

Regarding Gaborik... I am bitter over how things turned out. Dude was a china doll for us then suddenly turned into hercules with the Rangers, hardly ever getting injured, certainly not anything major. It sucks when you wonder what could have been. I think he left because of Lemaire, they had a weird dynamic and one that ultimately didn't work out.

If you want your goal scorer to score goals, it is debatable. I didn't say you were wrong, I just think it's worthy of discussion. You also have to consider who each guy has played with.

Wow. Islanders have really turned it on against Toronto. At one point I'm pretty sure Toronto was up 2-0. It's 6-3 Islanders right now.

Montreal pooping on Washington.

And come on, Columbus! Take Colorado down!
