Wow, we got Kromer too? That's what I was looking for if we got Trestman, someone on the staff who knows NFL offense as it is today.

I actually like the hiring, surprisingly. The more I hear about him, the more I like him. I could just be excited for change, though. Who knows if I'll still be thrilled about it when the season starts.
That's too bad, I have faith in our new GM and I think this was as fine a choice as any other candidate, and it's not like he hasn't coached through play offs and championship games.

I really like the choice.

It all starts with Emery. We have to start identifying talent in the draft. Kiper put out his mock today and had us taking Eifert at 20.

Also, Trestman had identified Russel Wilson as a guy he wanted to target for the Aloueetes because he thought he'd fall out of the draft because of his size. Apparently has an eye for talent.

Well small fast guys is what the CFL is all about, so I wouldn't give him too much credit for knowing the Russell Wilson is a smaller faster guy.

That'll do just fine. I am officially a fan of the Trestman hire. I would not have liked it at all if he just brought in a bunch of his CFL cronies but this is a legit NFL staff and quite stout at that.

That's also exactly what I proposed yesterday, pick off someone elses special teams guy and give him the Assistant Head Coach tag.

That was never going to happen. Should not have crossed anyone's mind.

There was speculation he might bring an OC who is with Toronto IIRC.

I am ok with Trestman signing (Disappointed they seemed to ignore the guys I wanted)

Curious if Marinelli stays on (I hope he does) and at end of day until we get our OL worked out we are not gonna accomplish anything offensively

Unless Lovie takes the Jacksonville job, looks like he wont be a coach this year.

If I was Lovie's agent ,, I would advice him against taking that job unless given longterm deal (5 yr deal)

Jax is a mess and wont turn around quickly

Interesting assistant hires...but it's the defensive coordinator that matters most.

Excited to see Jay back in a WCO. Seems like a great fit for him, Forte, and Marshall.

Ok if this happens I might puke:

There'a an article on USA Today about how Tebow has worked with Trestman and how he has said before Tebow would succeed in the NFL.

I'd be fine with it, it's not like he'd be our QB or anything... I'd take him over Campbell as a backup.

It would be an awesome side show. As a poster already mentioned, Campbell sucked!

If Tebow was used in the same way he was as a Freshman at Florida backing up Leak, I'd be very much in favor of the move.
