I think all you're really doing is trying to stir the pot anyway, but that's neither here nor there.

And Jerry Rice or not, I'm going to listen to ex-QB's before I'm going to listen to ex-WR's. They're the most ego-mad, fragile-minded, prima donnas in all of sports, let alone if they don't get their way or feel mis/underused or slighted in any way.

And for the record that's not taking anything away from Rice. He is God in the football world.

Theres a reason why Trestman was reduced to CFL lackey and nowhere near an NFL sideline....until now.

And no offense, if you cant respect one of the greatest players in the history of the game, it doesnt bode well with, you know, getting hired in the NFL until somebody stupid decides to pull on the guy from the CFL.

I honestly dont mind this. Emery has shown his chump hand early and with this signing, the Emery era will end alot faster then expected, and thank god for that. Just remember, change for the sake of change isnt always a good thing.

Cullk will be happy to read this, from Rotoworld:

Quote:
The Green Bay Press-Gazette believes Packers coach Mike McCarthy's Tuesday praise of Jermichael Finley means he'll "almost certainly" be back in 2013.
McCarthy said he felt "very good about way (Finley) finished the year," and that he was a "different man from the bye week on." Packers TEs coach Jerry Fontenot agreed. "As the season wore on you could see a more confident guy on the field," Fontenot said. "You could see a guy that once he got his hands on the ball he was running like a maniac. ... I see him definitely in an ascending mode." It's doubtful Fontenot would describe a player as "ascending" if he didn't expect him to be back. Finley is signed for $4.45 million in 2013, though he's due a hefty $3.5 million roster bonus in March.

Dont imagine Cutler has Calvillo's smarts or work ethic ( only youth and athleticism ) so Trestman has an uphill climb. good luck, your gonna need it with those sad sacks in chicago.
And you are basing that on....what exactly? The Wharrgarbl you hear from ESPN and the media? Everything I've seen and heard says that Cutler was probably the smartest offensive mind in Hallas Hall last season, and he has just as much of a work ethic as Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, without the media celebration of it.

But you seem to be like many of the mindless media drones outside of Chicago that believe everything the national media spoon feeds you. Thanks for stopping by.

You are so right bro. Not everyone can be as elite of a coach as your boy Lovie.

Somebody didn't get the memo that the Bears never pay for experienced NFL head coaches. Duh!

Maybe this guy at least knows how to use the challenge flag.

What Bears don't need is some old NFL coach who has been around the league. Trestman will bring some new ideas and innovation to the Bears offense. At the very least this will be interesting.

There will be no more speculation about anybody's sexuality. It's libelous.

Uh oh. A couple concerning tweets:

Quote:
@BradBiggs: It will be interesting to see what happens. Word I hear is #Cowboys DC Monte Kiffin is hopeful he can get Rod Marinelli to join him.
Quote:
@MattBowen41: RT @JasonLaCanfora: All signs pointing to Rod Marinelli leaving the Bears. Being recruited to stay but likely to depart. could end up in DAL with Monte Kiffin
This seems odd too. Basically Marinelli would be taking a step back again. Going from DC down to Line Coach again, and working for Monte Kiffin. I didn't think he could leave given he is under contract, but I guess if a guy really wants out, do you want to keep him at that point?

It's too bad if it turns out this way, I was really banking on keeping him here to keep some consistency on the defense.

What if Marinelli is the DC-in-waiting?

I'm sure that's not you, as I am pretty sure that's not human.

On topic. I would like to see Marinelli stay on as DC but I guess the coach wants his own guy. I just don't think you fix what isn't broken and the defense of the Bears hasn't been the problem for the last decade, it's been the very underachieving O.

You would be the guy to take the joke literally.

Just Google "ugly man" and look at the first page. Lone and behold, the picture.

You mean because Monte Kiffin is so old he may roll over and die in his sleep? Could be.
