The Usos - what is missing?

I have really enjoyed the Usos as of late and their matches w/ The Shield were really solid tag matches. In fact, the one on the pre-show got a "this is awesome" chant. They have solid characters, a great entrance, good ring work, and tell a pretty decent story in the ring. When given a chance, they really turn it on.

So what is missing? Is it the WWE's weird booking of tag teams (on 2 shows in a row, off 5 lol). Is it something that the Usos can get better at?

I just cannot put my finger on it.

They can't talk. They'd be a good heel tag team with a manager. They can't ever get beyond what they are because of their inability to speak. Great in-ring performers that will have a place on the card because of that but will never be one of the greatest of all time.

Have they ever even been given a chance on the mic?

They don't really need to talk much. I think they are due for a WWE Tag Title run and can be the top face team in the tag division. They are a really exciting tag team and have really improved in the last 3 years. I thought they were so boring when they debuted in 2010 but now I'm a fan. They have been doing a good job in the last 3-4 months getting over.

One thing I think they should do is differentiate Jimmy and Jey somehow. I still can't tell the difference without looking for a tattoo. Give one shorter hair or different coloured shorts or something.

Hopefully they are together for a while because I don't think they will have great singles careers.

I was wondering the same thing, I don't think I've ever seen them on a mic.

The same thing that numerous good tag teams have been "missing" in WWE for years now. A company that actually cares about showcasing its tag division.

The last push from the brass. They are as over as any team. I hope they win the belts soon.

HEEL'S WITH HEYMAN!

(solution for any good wrestler that isn't any good on the mic)

Though I don't recall them ever being given the chance.

That's really all it is to me as well. They're plenty over enough already and I don't think I've ever seen them cut a promo. I still remember their debut with Tamina when the 3 of them hit frog splashes at the same time, thinking they'd be a great team soon.

To be fair, I thought their time would have come a lot sooner

But yeah, it's really all about showcasing the tag division and giving it more prestige. Heck, the 6 man tornado tag last year at TLC was amazing, and one of the most memorable matches of the last year IMO. That is the way to build a better tag division, just repeat what worked before.

4 teams, TLC stipulation, everyone is "the legal man." Grab the belt FTW....and have it be one of the main draws on the show with a solid build. I would even let that be the final Raw segment at some point soon too.

When it's been so long without being given the chance, it's likely for good reason. Even PTP has been given time with the mic and they've never seen the push in quite a while and are over to some extent.

This. Never understood the argument that a tag team can't talk. If you're a heel team and can't talk you get a manager, if you're a face team and can't talk but are petty over with the fans your opponent talks trash (preferably a cowardly heel team) and you let actions speak for themselves. The one thing the wwe does really well is making excuses for their inability to book sensibly and then using those excuses for people's lack of a push. A tag team or even a singles guy doesn't need to be great at everything to find success. Wwe needs to great at hiding weaknesses and focusing on the strengths of the wrestlers on it's roster.

I'm hoping for a TLC match at the TLC PPV that's a throwback to the days of the Hardyz/Dudleys/E&C that ends with the Usos winning the belts.

Usos/Shield/Rhodes and maybe throw another team in.

That'd be awesome, but doubt it.

I'd keep the Shield out of it and have them move on. Put PTP or Real Americans in there and elevate them. Reigns and Rollins should gun for the World and IC titles. Reigns going for the World title against Cena would be a good program and Rollins getting the IC belt somehow would possibly elevate the title like Ambrose has done for the US title when they all had belts. It's the same concept but as individuals instead.

If you go that way and leave the Shield out, I'd put 4 teams in. Add the Real Americans and another heel team.

EDIT: Can't actually think of another credible heel team so yeah I guess leave it at 3.
