I think that with the emergence of Gagner playing well, Edmonton's top-6 is basically set:

Hall-RNH-Eberle
Yakupov-Gagner-Hemsky

And I don't see Connolly as a good fit for a bottom-6 checking role, so I think Edmonton would decline.

In retrospect I should have mentioned that before I acquired Edmonton, the other person traded away Paajarvi, Gagner, Hartikainen, and Rieder.

EDIT: And the only player brought in through trade was Galchenyuk, but he'd be in the top-6.

Oh, well in that case I guess they'll need someone to play 2C, I guess they would take a chance on Connolly. Seems fair.

Okay, thanks for the feedback.

Since I have the approval of at least one person, I'm going to announce the trade..

To Edmonton:
Tim Connolly (Toronto eats 30% of contract)

To Toronto:
2013 4th (95th)

With the 95th pick in the 2013 NHL Draft, the Toronto Maple Leafs would are proud to select from the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League..... Sven Andrighetto

Toronto's Picks:
1) Nikita Zadorov (1x15)
2) Connor Hurley (2x42)
3) Emile Poirier (3x74)
4) Sven Andrighetto (4x95)

are now on the clock. Since Yandle isn't online, and RR is going to the Phoenix game.. RR asked me to take charge of this for the night, so any questions, comments, or concerns.. send them to me.

Both are taken.

Great pick with Andrighetto, a little high, but he could surprise.

Yeah, I knew I was taking him early... but I didn't want to risk not getting him with a later pick.

I've read some scouts had him taken between the 3rd-5th round, while others don't have him taken until 5th or later. I wonder where he'd be ranked if he was a year younger with the same skill-set as he has now?

To keep the draft moving along the Red Wings' 97th pick is auto picked intill TheNudge gets back.

Auto picked 97th pick

LW Evan Allen from USNDT (USHL)

is up 98th pick
on deck 99th pick

Edmonton traded the 99th pick to Colorado for the 95th/189th.

EDIT: Nudge pm'd me 3.5 hours ago saying he would pick within the next hour, and since he hasn't I don't think he's going to be on anytime soon.

With my 97th overall I rather have Taylor Cammarata instead of Evan Allan.

Please accept this switch.

Ican't believe Taylor Cammarata was still available. This kid is dominating USHL and he's only 5feet 7. Risky pick but I say it's gona be worth it. **** this draft is a very deep one. To compare is status and hieght to a past prospect. I would say Rocco Grimaldi since he stand at 5 feet 6 and put up 25 pts in 23 games in USHL. He end up being pick 33rd overall back in 2011 by Florida. Now Taylor Cammarata put up 59 pts in 35 games USHL. Now that's amazing.

I considered him, but that size just won't cut it in the NHL. I have my doubts about Kevin Roy who's quite a bit taller.
