It's a good proposal. It all depends on each others draft day list and the belief that each organization can still get a player who is very high on it.

That being said I expect Holmgrem would prefer to land Yandle. But that's another debate for another thread.

So you are saying Phx 1st + Rundblad for Phi 1st + Phi 2nd + Cousins?

I would never do that.

Rundblad and Gormley aren't interchangeable assets.

Phoenix is likely picking 11th through 13th.

If Phoenix has a need that Philadelphia can help address this proposed trade would make a lot of sense. Rundblad was pretty bad defensively but he can move the puck really, really well and might have gotten better at defense while in the Phoenix system.

Then keep him! Jeez you guys think he is the next coming of Bobby Orr. The only thing he has done is learn to pack a suitcase quick.

Check the thread starter in Rundblad threads. Its not Phoenix fans trying to get rid of him. The only thing phx fans are trying to do is educate others as to why he's in the minors. There's a common misconception on these boards that since he's not in the NHL tearing it up right now, he's a bust.

Bit of an overreaction.

I think most of the conversation has been pretty reasonable, and the PHX fans have done a nice job of filling in his strengths and weaknesses. I don't think many Coyotes' fans are being unreasonable in their valuation of him at all.

No, I never criticized Maloney. I'm actually glad a GM keeps a player out of the NHL when he clearly doesn't belong there. I'm referring to the assumption made in this thread, which is that Maloney would trade him AGAIN while he's still a prospect.

How about something around Stastny (re-signed) for Rundblad+?

Statsny's contract and likely cost for Avs to extend is quite inflated. It's the same issue as Read though. There is another route that the Coyotes could take without dealing Rundblad. The salary alone though would be a huge stumbling block for the Coyotes.
