Thoughts on the PIM-heavy forwards?

My specific situation is I'm trying to decide whether to keep Clarkson or Clowe in this standard Yahoo! Public roto-scoring league. I drafted both but there is a G on the WW I think is more valuable. I'm wondering who else is out there who the board likes? Hartnell is the elite in this group, Simmonds is also nice, as is Backes and Lucic. Ott was decent. How do you guys rate the forwards who also give elite PIMs? Any sleepers?

Backes is the best overall in my opinion. Very nice balance and alot of PIMS

Simmonds can be a great sleeper pick. Don't just draft for PIM though.

Thanks Brad. I don't draft just for this but I don't want to ignore the category.

u could just look at matchups on a weekly basis and if u need some pims pick up guys who you know will most likely fight like lets say ottawa is playing toronto u know one of carkner or neil is gonna fight so maybe just pick one of them up for that game if u need PIMS

Chris Neil? It seems like he gets pretty regular minutes on Ottawa. I'm not 100 pct on that though

big story out of Chicago- Carcillo may skate on the first line.

Danny C is a special player in terms of PIM- he actually had good performance for CHI last year, scoring 0.4 PPG while receiving elite 3 PIM/game.

at his peak, Carcillo has been a top-50 talent in fantasy. i'm going to pick him up and give him a chance. short leash of course.

i think brad marchand could be a option for a PIM guy. he gets about 80~90 PIM and also gets 50 points. and even though his number of SOG is not that high, the % is pretty good.

one thing i recommend marchand is that he is in the bruins, which means a lot of +/-.

i'm pretty sure it worths to pick marchand in later draft before Chris Neil or Ott, unless you really need PIMs.

One of my favorite pure PIM guy. Puts up tons of minors so he's always helping out with minutes. I would only go for him in deep leagues though. I have him in my league that has 25 player rosters with 14 teams.
