Kuhnackl, wilson, agostino,(if the last two get signed)

I wonder what Rust will do. He has another year left in college right? He's really the forgotten forward prospect it seems. I just saw him play recently on ESPN against I think St. Cloud, and he looked pretty fast, and had a good shot that led to a goal.

Most of the time if a guy is going to sign early, he does after he season ends so he can get his feet wet in the AHL before the season is over. That line of thinking is making me think Rust and Archibald are going to back to NCAA's, with Wilson having the highest shot to sign with the Pens. From Wilson's perspective, he was the HE Freshman of the Year last year, is tied for the team lead in scoring as a sophomore for the favorite in the Frozen Four and is a bit older than your normal sophomore player, so all signs point to him being the most likely forward to sign early.

Haha, I actually used to vacation/camp with Alden Hirschfeld and his family every year. Kind of did a double take when I read the title.

Would be hilarious if both guys we traded for Iginla decided to not sign with Calgary, and both signed with us after they became FA's instead, just like Shultz did to Anaheim.

He and Gibbons look like the only guys that could be top 9 contributors in the near future.

What is your opinion of Minella? I have seen him play in Wheeling an d think he could be a top 9 player.

Eh.

I like him as a minor league energy guy, but I think at 27 he is what he's going to be. He's also had a hard time staying healthy, probably owing to his physical style of play.

I'm a fan of the way he plays, but I can't see him being an NHLer.

The Agostino thing has been mentioned already (CGY), and I HIGHLY doubt that Wilson turns pro next year. I think he should spend one more year in college and then see where he's at.

Archibald and Rust, however, are two guys who I feel could turn pro right now, especially Archibald.

Kuhnhackl should also be a player in the top-6 for sure, and could be a real impact player (i.e. AHL all-star, WBS goal leader) if he has a great off-season/off-ice training regimen this summer. We'll need to find/retain a few AHL vets to round out our forward group up front, however.

WBS acquires Derek Nesbitt

Bombulie calls it "the biggest splash the WBS Penguins have made in franchise history."

No doubt it was a big move. Shero and Botterill addressed WBS biggest concern with more scoring. So. The top line stays as is and then.....

Holzapfel-Smith-Kolarik
Nesbitt-Megna-Thompson
Gibbons-Peters-Collins
Payerl-Sill-Uher

Plus Minella, Farnham, Barton, and MacIntyre in the press box.

Plus, if the Pens decide to send Bennett down to wbs for the playoffs, that lineup gets a bit scarier.

Fourth line is rolling tonight on Newfoundland. Halfway through the game Uher with 2 goals (tripling his season total), Farnham 2 assists (first multiple point game of the season) and Sill 1 helper.

I think I saw that this is the 11th straight season that WBS has made the playoffs which is the longest active streak in the AHL, although Milwaukee may tie it.

I'd like to see that Uher-Sill-Farnham line together on a regular basis.

Hynes has gone with it at certain points this year, and they've always looked terrific together. They're just a buzzsaw on the forecheck.

Crafton, I know this probably isn't the right place to ask, but I've been meaning to, and I need to know: why are you no longer lost??

quite simply i once was lost but now am found, was blind, but now I see.

actually the name is a reference to perhaps one of my fondest memories of living in Pittsburgh. a New Yorker, Californian and South Dakotian venture into an under-heralded suburb of Pittsburgh. shenanigans ensue as the drunken threesome scuttle around the town seeking directions in the era before in-car GPS and smartphones. i think we stopped by the same gas-station three or four times - each time a different person got out and asked the attendant for directions. all-in-all it's a friendly town and not a bad placed to get lost.

as for the change, i'm not quite sure why i changed it. perhaps i was looking for something more streamlined.
