Did you see Morrow fly to get back?? I love seeing him skate. He is a world class skater. No doubt.
Shades of Duncan Keith, with probably a smoother skating stride. Although he has A LOT of work to do in his own end. But to see him skate is a joy.
Yeah, he definitely did everything he could to get back there.

Really dumb play by Kolarik, channeling Ferriero.

It's funny because I'm watching Mon-Tor and Subban is one of the most bow-legged skaters I have seen. I remember watching him with the Bulls and thinking he was a ****** skater at first, then realized after a few viewings how well it works for him... When he isn't shearing off people's feet.

Dumoulin had a rough shift there.

Morrow last shift, joining the rush (like he loves to do) one stride, two strides and he is passing people up like pylons.

I told people from watching him in Denver that he will throw his body around from time to time but people who never even seen him still argued with me that he is more "Hemsky" like.

I saw a lot of Denver games and BB never was afraid to lay hits out there.

Although I know I have compared him to Hemsky in the past when describing his vision, passing ability and deference to passing. And if people think Hemsky is wallflower, that isn't the case, he is small but he will throw his body around when he has to. Which could be why is gets injured a lot.

Yeah, I don't get that either. Hemsky isn't shy about going into high traffic areas or putting himself in harms way to make a play.

I don't think the Hemsky comparison is a bad one. Bennett is a slick, handsy playmaking winger with a nice shot that makes you wish he'd be more selfish at times.

Agreed on both points. Which you stated much more succinctly, in each statement, than I did. As I share the same sentiment.

3-1 Pens, nice finish by Holzapfel.

Aside from Bennett, he's been the Baby Pens' best forward all year.

Maybe he's a late bloomer, get him to Malkin's wing immediately.

All kidding aside, he's played well enough to get a look in the bottom six, there's just no room.

Yeah, that was a solid rebound game after a frustrating loss. Hopefully we'll see the same with the NHL Pens tomorrow.

Just heard Grace thanking Tommy Fitz for the 1st period intermission.

You didn't happen to catch it, did you? If so, anything of note. I usually miss the intermission shows. As it most of it is ads.

Nah, I missed it too.

I muted it after Grace and the producer started chatting about the weather. I usually skip the intermissions as well. The less I hear about about Wayne Van Scoy and his diamonds, the better.

It'd be be something else to see Letang, Despres, and Morrow sharing the same blueline someday.

Absolutely. Morrow, when ready (which won't be soon, imo) will fit in nicely with the Pen's go north, and quickly, philosophy.

This probably deserves its own thread, but hypothetically speaking, if the team offered Tom Fitzgerald the head-coaching gig would he take it?

I dont know why. But i find the announcer (grace?) reeeeally entertaining. Its half the fun in watching WBS games tbh Hes like a wilder version of Errey sometimes.

Im was thinking of doing a drinking-game everytime he says "hustle" i would drink. Well, im glad i skiped that one or i would for sure need to be taken to the hospital after
