If he only got 2.55Mper, what will Subban get.

This is what a typical bridge contract for a non-arb eligible player coming off their ELC should cost. Might be a little lower than expected. Slats is a master of the 2nd contract. The 2nd contracts we have seen the last couple of years have been ridiculous. MDZ has a chance to hit it big next contract with 2 good yrs.

Can't be right. Maybe Brooks is dividing the real number 5.1m by two when its actually that per season. If not, good job Rangers.

sweet terms its what I was hoping for. So with this Rangers are carrying 8 D. 3 vying for the 6th spot but I still see them trading for a vet at the deadline
( sorry to bring this up today HABS fans )
McDonaugh, Girardi
Staal, Stralman
Del Zotto, Bickel
Gilroy, Eminger

Dear NHL GMs,
This is what a second contract looks like.
Best,

Has to be at least 4 years, $5.1 per for Subban, since he is "twice the player" Del Zotto is according to the Habs board.

Del Zotto isn't a comparable when it comes to Subban. Not at the same level and different kind of defensemen.

4 mil was longterm. Now you guys will have to pay 5 or more for UFA years in a few years. 2.5 is great now though.

He has always been like that. Signing his own guys, he's great. Signing FA's? Throws money at them.
