I'd do it from SJ's perspective. Don't want or need Peckham though. Not too sure about Marincin either.

Who's 1st is going to San Jose? It seems like San Jose is making out way to well in this trade. Are they 2 trades or a big 3 team trade?

If I were Edmonton I wouldn't make either trade.

Looks like two trade because he listed two separate ones...

Keep Yakopov; Winnipeg isn't trading Kane, period.

It kind of confused me because that is way to much to give up for Clowe. He's a good player but that's a lot of over payment IMO a 1st would be pretty good value for Clowe.

I'd say Wpg and SJ come out well in both..that's not to say Edmonton loses, but I think they acquire less value.

So bad. Oilers needs centers and D-man not more wingers.

Why is everyone so down on Yakupov?

Bad showing in the WJC's sure, but one bad tournament does not a player make.

2 young players, a top 6 forward and a 1st round pick in a deep draft for a guy that will only play 48 games before UFA....

Although Edmonton loses more in terms of sheer value, their top 6 is VASTLY upgraded at really no sacrifice (Clowe and Kane will more than make up for Hemsky and whoever played their last season) whatsoever.

Not only would trading Yakupov, the 2012 first overall, for Kane be absurd. We have to add a 2nd? And we get hosed on the Clowe trade. I think Hemsky and 2nd could do it. Not adding a first and our 3rd best d prospect

I knew this thread would turn into an Oilers flaming thread.....I just didnt expect it to be because of two lopsided trades against them

I don't like the San Jose deal. I am a huge Kane fan though, so I`d think about that.

Sharks say yes. But uh, do you wan't a 3rd or 4th? Otherwise we'd feel bad.

Easy no to both trades, especially the SJ trade. They're both very bad though, and also dont address needs...

If Wpg is to trade Kane, it won't be for an unproven NHL prospect with a questionable attitude. They've already got attitude in Kane, but he has also scored 30 goals as a 20 year old.

If Edm wants Kane, it'll have to give up RNH, Eberle or Hall.

They just signed Kane to a six year deal; they didn't do that to turn around and trade him in the near to intermediate term, FYI.

As of right now our top-6 seems fine. We may need more grit, but right now its not a necessity. Our needs are finer D men and quality centers.
