Picks to LA are a 4th in 2013 and a 6th in 2014.
I guess Westgarth is an okay 4th liner...

The way I see it is the 6th is for Westgarth, and the 4th is for taking Stewart off our hands. I can dig it.

Also seems like the Canes are the only team that realized the lockout is over...

Yes. Couldn't score on a wide open net 3 feet out and was scared of hitting. Was pretty bad for the Canes last year.

Is Stewart a poison in lockerroom or i don`t know something else. Looks like Canes got robbed big time, but it also looks like they made the deal. WTF happened?

Glad to see us ditch an enforcer we really don't need and take a flyer on someone new. Picks are a bonus. Much like with Colin Fraser, may be able to turn someone else's trash into a good cog in the machine.

The heck?
Westgarth is hardly an NHLer. Stewart can put up 20 points on the fourth line/fill in on the third in a tight pinch. And Carolina adds?
I mean, it's a minor, minor trade to begin with but... why?

Westgarth is a great guy, but that is a lot for a dude who can barely skate.
