I saw him say timeout but I don't know what he said before that.

He shouldn't have been around the ref saying the word "timeout" if he didn't want one called.

They showed a replay of him calling the timeout

I had often thought his nickname of Matty Ice was kind of undeserved because he never did it when it was all on the line. Yeah he has done in the reg many many times, but never in the playoffs.

He earned it today. Yeah he threw some bad picks, but all he needed was less than 20 seconds to get that GW drive.

It gives credence to and legitimizes the "Matty Ice" name.

I would have went for the FG also. Probably it lands 13 yards shy, but why not.

Right, because the Seahawks have never gotten help from the refs.

I actually think that the Falcons have a good chance next week now that they've got the monkey off their back.

He was pissed because Bryant still got a kick off after the whistle was blown - thats ********, but you shouldnt ice the damn kicker in the first place.

Didn't you just answer your own question?

Why not? Because he had zero chance of making it. At least with the hailmary there is some chance.

Yep I would never ice the kicker. Most of the time it doesn't work.

Pretty sure that "Matty Ice" is more about being fratty than clutch.

Something I saw RT's from Bruce Arthur: Seattle should've tried a field goal but ice their own kicker to see if Longwell had the leg.

Icing the kicker, never a good idea. Not much I hate more in football than that. It's idiotic, that's what it is.

Back in college yes, but it has carried over to mean his 2 minute drill ability. Here in Atlanta all I hear on sports talk radio is "Matty Ice" this and "Matty Ice" that in regards to his late drives.

This is a pretty empty feeling. I'm not even all that optimistic about next year, it seemed all the stars were aligned right now.

Still love Matt Ryan. I hope San Francisco loses in embarrassing fashion next week.

Seattle's best players are all in their mid 20's. Improve the d-line and one more dangerous receiver from the UFA pool and they should be 'bowl favourites for next year.

Teams know what kind of leg their kickers have, but that's pretty clever.

That's what I thought. Bryant kicked that well after the whistle, obviously trying to get a practice kick in.

I need a explanation on this.

hail mary was thrown, It's a "int" the guy NEVER GETS TOUCHED, he drops the BALL in the endzone, seattle picks it up.

How that not a TD for seattle?, why in the world is nobody talking about this?
