49ers announced Edward J. DeBartolo Jr., Charles Haley and Bryant Young will serve as their honorary captains for NFC Championship Game.
Remember watching America's Game with DeBartolo in the locker room after the game

Wish he was still involved with Niners

He was a good man

We all wish DeBartolo was still the owner.

His in-laws suck. Besides Jed.

Great choices & as for Eddie.......always will have a soft spot in my heart for him, being that he once owned the Pens.

The Falcons should have lost last week. They should have lost to the bye the previous week. I still don't buy them. Kaepernick isn't going to have as big of a day on the ground, but I think he'll have a better day through the air. I think Turner/Rodgers are going to be shut down which will force Ryan to throw, and into mistakes. This should be another high scoring game though, as Atlanta does have plenty of weapons. If last week is any indication, Vernon Davis should have a big day. Niners win by 6 as Matty Ice comes up decidedly unclutch late.

You ever hate someone for absolutely no reason? They did nothing wrong but just can't stand the sight of them?

That's me with Matt Ryan. Go Niners.

49ers WR Michael Crabtree was questioned by the SVU for an alleged sexual assault in a hotel after last weeks win against the Packers.

He's traveled with the team to Atlanta and is expected to play.

At long as it happens before the last 2 minutes.

WR Michael Crabtree, who's been interviewed by SFPD for alleged sexual assault, not seen with #49ers as they arrive at Atlanta hotel

There are plenty of reasons to hate Matt Ryan

For one, he's kind of a ******

If Crabtree is not playing though, this one swings back in Atlanta's favor. But he should play since players have played after doing much less. Not that I agree with it.

This game will be close. Hard to believe SF can play at the level they did last week for a 2nd straight week.

With that said, I don't believe in the Atlanta defence one bit, especially with Abraham clearly not fully healthy.

49ers 28
Falcons 24

The 49ers aren't deep at WR before all of this. I doubt the move has anything to do with this story.

Waiving Cundiff created a roster spot and the Niners would have needed to either promote Hall or cut him.

going to be funny watching a rookie QB in Kappy destroy "Matty Ice".

Cant imagine how great Kaepernick or Russell Wilson would be if they had White and Jones to throw to.

1)Kaep isn't a rookie
2)Ryan already dispatched Wilson
3)9ers are next

35-24 Falcons

Not a fan of the 49ers, but I'm much less of a fan of the Falcons so I'm picking the 49ers. Just due to Moss and because the 49ers have a nicer jersey.

There is no way the Falcons are putting up 35 on the 49ers defense. They're too one-dimensional.

SF's rush defense is much better than Seattle's, and they won't be missing a key defensive player.
