K. Y'all keep asking for line ups to be added. Not gonna make anything fancy out of it, but will add them. Am just going to be copying and pasting from whatever I can find so hopefully they'll be right.

Let's hope that they play like they did against Det. Allowing less shots would help a lot too.

Chicago is one of about 5 elite teams in the league (I also put our next opponent in that class). It's going to take a total team effort and a great game by Lehtonen to scrape some points tonight. Anything we can get in either of these next two games is a huge bonus.

Alright, first huge test for the team. They have had a few weeks to get their S together, and a few "practice" games and now it's game on.

Some interesting notes for the game:
Quote:

The Stars suffered from even more delays Tuesday Night when tying to leave Detroit. The plane refused to de-ice, and practice wound up being cancelled for the day. Well, at least they should be rested, right? [Stars Inside Edge]

It seems like every team is suffering from fatigue or injury this season (which you'll see coming up). That is, every team except for one. And wouldn't it be just our luck that we play them today? [Dallas News]
http://www.defendingbigd.com/2013/1/...tive-influence

We will be rested, but without practice, and playing a nearly perfect team.

Lehtonen was amazing in DET so this was expected:

Quote:
Dallas Stars ‏@DallasStars

IT'S GAME DAY! Lehtonen is expected start tonight. He's 4-2-0 with 1 shutout and a 1.98 GAA in 6 career games vs Chicago. Predictions?
Hopefully Nilstorp get's in against CLB on Monday. That'll give Lehts key games against CHI, STL, and DET.

We will be rested, but without practice, and playing a nearly perfect team.

Greetings from 15 degree Chicago...with lake effect snow. Hope you don’t mind me stopping by GDT (pregame only...).

Very kind statement above but I have not seen any team look nearly perfect yet this year. Chicago has looked pretty good in comparison to some of the play I have seen and I like that they are rolling all 4 lines and getting production. If Crawford can develop some consistency (the good kind), the Hawks may make some noise.

Too bad about Benn being out for you guys. I really like watching him play and always want my team playing against the opponents best talent.

According to Mark Stepneski via twitter, no changes to Dallas lines or D pairs.

This is a new Gulutzen, when everyone was healthy last season to start, he juggled like crazy and constantly moved Bottom 6 players in and out of the lineup.

I'm hoping Sceviour gets a shot, but he may have to wait for an injury.

I'm glad Jordie is getting another game. He played great on Monday and deserves it.

I know this isn't a game note for tonight, but I didn't know where else to put this.

Quote:
Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie

As expected Wade Redden will make STL debut tonite vs. NSH. Likely to be paired with Alex Pietrangelo to start. Will play 5 on 5 and some PK
Redden will play the 2nd game of his comeback tour against Dallas.

Rome will get in against STL:

Kari Lehtonen in goal tonight. Aaron Rome won't play tonight. With the team missing practice yesterday, Saturday is the target for Rome.

Can't be any worse than seeing Woywitka or Pardy or Robidas go up against any of the Hawks.

well Kane carves up most players he goes up against so that wouldn't be anything different. Benn and Dillon have played well so far and given no indication that they need to be protected. I expect that they will continue to impress tonight.

I have so much more confidence for these Central road games with Kari in net compared to his predecessor...
