Horrible for Nashville.

Their offense is rough enough as it is, Bozak will not help matters. Josi and Ellis are essentially valued as two 1st round picks + throwing in their best offensive weapon in Wilson (another 1st rounder) for Phaneuf is ridiculous AND they throw a 2nd rounder in? Horribly in favor of Toronto.

Don't need Ellis. I would move that package for Wilson, Josi and a 1st.

Bozak would have to be signed i'm sure.

Nashville doesn't do it though.

I'd like to get Bozak, but not at that price. Current #1 pairing D-man (expected to eventually replace Suter), current leading scorer on the team (and future top-line), one of our best prospects (will most likely settle with Klein on the #2), and a 2nd (which we don't have)? Yikes.

Sold. Don't think Toronto touches that. Take out their first and it's close.

As a leafs fan, NSH doesn't touch that deal. Leafs would have to add at least a pick and B prospect

The only thing I can see happening is MAYBE Grabovski heading to Nashville but that means Sergei Kostitsyn would probably be coming back our way as they can't play together (unless this has changed since the World Championships). Even with that, that's a lot of money invested into their top 3 centers.

Dreadful. Three firsts and a 2nd for phaneuf and a third liner. Our best offensive player a rookie playing top pairing minutes and a top prospect all under 25. Horrible just really awful.

Well one nice thing is its nice not to see weber in this deal.. 2 omg this is bad... Lets put it this way we laugh at Wilson + Josi for dion. Also laugh at Ellis for bozak. And in going to pretend I didn't see the 2nd...

Both deals are incredibly similar. The question is can everyone see what it is?

I don't get to see much of Nashville but I do remember Roman Josi being drafted in the 2nd like 4-5 years ago. What has he done since to warrant a 1st.

Not saying he is not, just asking out a curiosity. I am a little offended though that you called Bozak a third liner, since he has never played 3rd line in his career. Again not saying he is a first liner without Kessel, but I could easily argue Bozak would also be worth a late first.

Josi is playing top line minutes and has tremendous upside. He's being groomed to be Ryan Suter's replacement. That warrents a 1st round pikc.

Bozak is a third liner/second line tweener. This is a universal fact among the Leaf fanbase, I don't understand why that offends you.

Phaneuf and Weber would be one bada** pairing, but there's no way either team does this deal.

Just because trades work in NHL 13 does not mean you should post in the trade fourm.

More of the way he says it, if he was not trying to put down Bozak he wouldn't have called NSH plays 1st rounds picks then call Bozak a third liner.

Basically if you want to call it picks, we are talking 3 1sts and a 2nd for 3 1sts and a 2nd because there is no way Toronto lets Phaneuf go for less than something equal to 2 1sts and a 2nd, and I am not even a huge fan of his.

Toronto doesnt even touch the 1st deal... Dion has value to us like Weber does to you. Maybe not to all the fans here in T.O because they have some weird grudge against him because hes always playing with bottom pairing guys but to the management hes our leader. I wouldnt touch the 1st trade, the second trade gets hung up on so fast is ridiculous. Kadri and Gardiner are basically untouchable, erat and Kostitsyn do nothing for us.

But i will say the deal is bad for Nashville, Josi and Eliis and Wilson have a lot of value to them but we have NO use for Josi and Eliis as Rielly and Gardiner are better

Toronto takes this and runs, Nashville doesn't touch this.
