Visnovsky is fully initiated to #Isles -- just accidentally drilled DiPietro in the mask with a shot. Rick's ok it seems.

Lubo Visnovsky on reception from #Isles: "I talk to Garth Snow, talk to coaches, talk to teammates and it was big surprise..."

"...to me how good to me, everybody excited to like me and everybody thinking I try to help this team. I was surprised."

And Visnovsky on what he might hear from #Isles fans tomorrow: "Big win, big win! That’s it." (He was kidding. Actual answer in next tweet)

Lubo: "I think (people) who know me, who understand me and who got a family, everybody do the same of what I do. For me, it’s family first."

More Lubo: "I try to help my son, my family and I stay a little bit longer at home. Thank you for this organization, they understand."
Bolded is the best way to be in good graces with Islander fans.

Is it bad that I burst out laughing when I found out he drilled Rick in the head?

Hey guys, shameless fantasy question about Lubo. Is he expected to be in the lineup tomorrow night, or is he expected to get a few practices in before a game?

Didn't DP get a concussion from a shot that Rolston hit him with in practice?

Well of course, they're professionals there to do a job.

If they threw a hissy fit like some fans do, they would get fired in a heartbeat.

Hilarious part is that I've been one of his biggest critics and I picked up in each of my fantasy leagues and can't wait for him to play now.

I wanted him to stay away.

One hour after midnight is a horrible time for a hockey game to start, but at least it's a Saturday. I might actually watch that.

Oh, and did you know that Thomas Vanek is the son of a Slovak mother and a Czech father? Hopefully, Lubo can keep him at bay tomorrow.

So Faterson, I take it you're an Isles fan now?

Despite our differences, you're always welcome to join Isles Nation.

I'm sure he's a good guy. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on that.

BUT...he went about this all wrong. "This" being refusing to report and then coming up with (what seemed like) manufactured excuses to stay put and not report.

Not at all, I find it funny actually, not many Isles fans here in Slovakia i'm afraid (however this could and will change drastically with Višňovskż playing on LI). And whether it's Slovak or Slovakian, I don't really care Wow that would probably piss my teachers off

Anyway, Go Islanders!

I will watch the game too, 1am is not that bad.

The general opinion of Slovak fans about the Islanders is, well, they're the Islanders

But I will definitely cheer for you with Vis on board. If he can find the motivation he did here, you have something to look forward to. I hope he gets you as far as possible. After the season, send him back to us unharmed and we can be friends

I know he won't receive a warm welcome from the fans, but try to get over it, it wasn't about the Islanders. Poor translations of Slovak interviews and things getting taken out of context made him look like an ******* overseas when he is anything but. But I'm sure you will find that out yourselves over the next few months.

He's not the only one. Zednik, Orsagh, Ciger, Petrovicky, Satan... and these are just from the top of my head.
