Would people be mad if we gave up the same package for JT. Compher? I don't think many would and Fasching is a slightly better prospect in my opinion. Seriously the trade was a defense prospect who ran out of time in this organization, a late 2nd (very close to a 3rd) in an incredibly shallow draft, and another likely late 2nd in a draft with what people think will be average depth wise.

I'd say Reiger did exactly what you are referring to when it came to the Compher/Sekera trade ..

For the record I'm fine with both trades but at this time it looks as if we overpaid for both at least in terms of value. It may pay off ..it may not.

2015 is not a very deep draft. It has one of the most ridiculous top ends of any class we've seen in a while but after that it's a very ordinary draft.

I've heard from other people that 2015 is deep with quality players through the 2nd round and possibly the 3rd rounds. But, I guess it depends on your definition of Quality and Deep then.

To be Honest, outside of Eichel and McDavid, I haven't really studied next year's draft. I'll wait until this upcoming draft is done. Then I will make a better attempt to assess the talent level of the players.

I found it funny they took apart Makarov's jersey to give it to vinz.

They didn't pay him? ****, I would've held out a la Big Mike Peca. They could've paid him in a roll up to win cup or something.

after the top 10 players the rest of the draft is pretty good but it definetely isn't on the 2013 level imo.

You won't find guys like Petan or Fucale going in the 2nd round in 2015.

2015=better top end
2013=better depth

If you're using 2013 as a standard for the level of deepness, then of course it wouldn't be considered deep, but if you use the average talent level of year's past drafts, then maybe it would be considered deep.

I do agree for the Top end talent though:
2015 > 2013

But, of Course anything can happen and it is WAYYYY to Early to say how deep drafts were really at this point.

Amazing episode. Greatest goalie of all time. He is the one in the 90s that got me to love hockey.

I came here to see if anyone else knew anything. I shot a message over to Kevin Snow a few weeks back and he said something to the effect of org. changes might have something to do with it. I know TC tourney is only a few weeks away but any content from the draft/prospect camp would be a nice cookie in the hockey void that is August.

Yeah, they are definitely behind schedule from what they used to do.

Nothing from draft or D camp yet?

Nothing from the draft or dev camp make you wonder what's going on. Seems like this may have been canceled.

my guess is they probably just decided that waiting until the season to air them is more viable. There's not a lot of people paying attention to the team right now.

We can only hope that Samson shaves that dirtstache of his sooner rather than later.
