Tardiff still putting up points. He looked pretty good with the limited minutes when he was called up. Maybe he'll get a bigger shot at some point

Svedberg with an apple. Did Spooner go coast to coast?

Can you imagine if Chia traded him for Iginla. Iggy would be long gone and Spooner would be a regułar contributor to plays of the week

Krug third Spooner second Tardiff first that is how I saw it. Knight had some good chances and couple nice hits but is 65 games behind others in hockey games and mental part of game. Going to be a good one but Spooner is on her fuel. He should be in Boston last night

Is Spooner's rookie season in Providence at 20/21 more impressive than Krejci's at the same age? Marchand's? Just looking at the surrounding scoring leaders, it looks like this is a low scoring AHL season.

Yea...I would have wept a little bit lol. He absolutely torched that d-man. That is the best play that'll never be in the Sportscenter top ten.

Two absolute beautiful goals, and Svedberg was an animal again.

Also, I love that if you renew your season tickets early you get free playoff tickets for this year. Great deal, especially if they go deep.

@MarkDivver
Koko (3 pts. in 7 games) is a healthy scratch tonite vs. Hershey. 'We've got so many guys, they can't all play,' Butch Cassidy said...

Providence is pretty crowded at the moment so I imagine we'll see a lot of the youngsters rotating in and out of the lineup as they try to evaluate who they want playing in the playoffs.

I have only seen Spooner a couple of times, but DK and Marchand both stood out big time in PRO. The guy that I saw that was more dominant than Marchand was Sobotka, but Krejci was better than both from what I can remember.

He is way faster than either of those two. I don't know who he reminds me of. The Spooner in April is so much more polished and confident than the October Spooner. He's pretty electric but he is not Kelly or Soupy and Claude's handling of him should be interesting.

Thanks for the updates. You think he is NHL ready now?

sort of but really I like the 100 games stuff and am going to post a thread on him today or tomorrow on a bunch of things; he could play now but to me in another 6 months of skating, working out, mental prep, natural maturity he should be that much more ready to play and be a good NHL player. If he is focused, determined, and keeps on improving his defensive game he is looking at being a star not just a good NHL player. That is why the Bruins front office reportedly classified him as an untouchable in the Iginla trade even though there were many posters here were throwing him in that deal along with Subban and others.

I haven't seen Spooner play all that much..

But it seems to me if he put on a few lbs he could be ready for a nice role with the Bruins.. I think if he played Wing he would already be up..

It's tough because most likely someone will have to get moved to open up a slot for him.

Running the wires tonight, which means a long, boring evening unless the North Koreans decide to start throwing nukes. I'll be listening via radio app.

If the schedule works out I'm hoping to get to a playoff game or two.
