subban is worth much more then yak

it would be yak + 1st for Subban.

I hate posting this damn article but read it please.

http://awinninghabit.com/2012/08/15/...-to-his-peers/

You couldn't get any of the top 6 rated (doughty,Pietrangelo, karlsson, subban, OEL,hedman) for Yak.

why are the habs giving up a puck-moving, minute-eating defenseman AND a first pick for an unproven - albeit first overall pick, winger?

makes no sense.

haha man this forum is crazy. Probably more like Yakupov + 2nd/3rd for Subban.

EDM with Subban is a much much much scarier team than EDM with Yakupov.

The HF masses already think it will be impossible for the Oilers to pay all of their young talent as it is. Rumours suggest that Subban is looking for a ridiculous contract that would definitely make it impossible to re-sign RNH, and Schultz in two years.

I think the Oilers are better off keeping their Russian, unproven, lazy, one dimensional dime a dozen winger(am I doing it right?)

Edmonton throws in Petry and Montreal changes it to the 2013 1st rounder and Montreal's choice of the 2013 or 2014 2nd rounder and you've got a deal.

Montreal needs Subban and what he offers more than Yakupov ATM. Yakupov is a very talented prospect, but Subban is a proven top 4 , all situations minute eater....and there aren't very many of those available.

I can't see why the added 1st. One for one is a more even deal, but I am sure 99% of the Oiler fans here would still say no way to the OP and a full on flame war will ensue.

There are other Subban/Yakupov threads. I nominate searching for one of those, since it has all been done before, and recently.

Well, except maybe I closed those already... hmm... no matter. Go there.
