at least they have enough of a spine to compete until the season ends. whether it affects that team's rebuilding process positively or negatively is another discussion entirely, though.
Agreed. There is a gap though. It may be small, but it is existent.
Lindholm/Monahan, here we come.

Now if only the Blues and the Pens feel like getting knocked out first round and making Calgary's life a little easier (now watch that be the final).

Man Carolina is getting blown out. A nothing game on the last night and Malkin and Neal back in, they really collapsed in that third.

So we have either a 7th, 6th or a 1st overall pick (our own)... Interesting. I'm curious what will happen Monday.

Calgary's the only team with backbone or just plain stupid enough to try and string Wins together when their mathematically eliminated with many games in hand. Looking back at the OT win against Pheonix and the Detroit game, where apparently Bégin himself more or less won it for Calgary... It kind of sucks. That's the difference between 6th and 3rd, isn't it insane how a few games alter a draft so much?
I mean, as Calgary fans, we kind of know. Thinking of Grigs and Forsberg in Calgary uniform gets my eyes all teary , maybe I can wipe them away when Jankowski suits up... what's it? 4 more years until we expect to see him full time?

So we have:

6.2% chance of drafting 1st overall
17% chance of drafting 7th overall
76.8% chance of drafting 6th overall

Somebody here called it pride.

I called it stupid. Where is that pride now? It's a pathetic team, win or not at that point....

Suck to be a Flames fan.

Take a hike... If it's such a 'pathetic' team, go support another one.

I know I haven't been here too long, but I have never seen this dude say anything even remotely positive regarding the Flames or any of their players.

It really doesn't, but I guess you wouldn't know since you don't cheer for the Flames.

So guys. Carolina and Calgary are tied in everything besides ROW, Calgary has 19 while the Canes have 18. What would have happened if they were tied in ROW as well, would it go to Home & Away records, or would they just add up the 5th & 6th% add divide it by 2 and give them each the same chance.
This was posted in another thread and wanted to know the answer to it.

hey guys, assuming Jones/MacKinnon/Drouin/Barkov/Nurse are the top 5 picks who do you think you would take?

While it does suck that ONE less win would have secured a Top 5 pick, you are still going to land a really good player in Top 7. I am excited about that!

Monahan, but I am really hoping that Russian cat sneaks into the top 5 and some miracle leaves us Barkov @ #6

I'm like Monahan a bit more but Lindholm has more offensive upside so i would go with him. BPA always.

@ 6th overall I don't think you can go wrong with either Monahan or Lindholm... Either or is going to be a great pick!

my ignore list is probably 90% flames fans, it's really no wonder our team gets ridiculed on here.

Wait what am I missing? Don't we have the 5th pick?

The score shows them as below Carolina and in the 5th slot.
