I'll go one step further: It's a gaurantee Iginla WON'T re-sign. Unless you actually meant resign - and in that case, who knows, he is getting older...
But hasn't either Iginla or Calgary management or all of the above made it clear that Iginla will either sign with Calgary for the rest of his career, or else get traded at the deadline to a contender and then immediately re-sign with Calgary afterwards in the summer?
So any trade for Iginla is extremely temporary. Theres no chance Calgary will get a building block of a team like Schneider for a couple months of an aging Iggy - and I say this as someone who absolutely loves Iggy and would love him on my team. Hell, I'd be happy to see him win a cup anywhere.
