Wideman will put up more points due to role and style. But Garrison will see time in all situations, play physical, play solid defence as well as contributing some goals with his big shot.

Garrison wins.

Dennis Wideman might just be the worst skating player in the NHL (excluding goons, etc)

Yeah, like, exactly...

Furthermore, this collection of photos proves the (lack of) skating ability of whydmn

Can't believe Wideman has 32% of the votes.

Garrison is being massively underrated. He's a legit top pairing d-man.

Wideman is being overrated, he has no defense to his game.

Brian Campbell made Jason Garrison a rock defensively? The only reason Garrison stopped scoring goals is because Brian Campbell refuses to shoot the puck. Teams will no longer be able to key on Garrison's big shot with Edler playing the opposite point. I expect his point totals to increase in Vancouver. Garrison was the most underrated dman in the league last season IMO. That'll end though - everyone will know how good he is now that he's in a high profile Canadian market.

Wideman should help the Flames score goals and improve the PP but if I had to choose 1 player it would be Garrison. He excels in all situations and everywhere on the ice.
