Would be pretty funny if Boston took Jordan Subban too.

Eric Roy is too high in my mind. I really hope he doesn't go to Ottawa.

I like it as an Oiler fan. Pulock on the PP with guys like Yakopov, Hall, RNH, Eberle, and Schultz would be unreal. His shot is lethal

I would want the Oilers to trade up with 1 of their 2nds to get Monahan. Kid is very skilled C and is 6'2

PHX and FLA will be competing for playoff spots. Also if EDM is in top 5 again, que troll grin by Tambellini. Toronto should go hard afyer Barkov or just throw the diarrhea at the fan and gun for that 1st overall pick of MacKinnon.

I think PHX and FLA highly over achieved last season. PHX without Whitney and possibly no Doan either will be hard to overcome. Though I think Mike Smith won't be just a one hit wonder.

After watching last week's U-18 camp, Nurse, Drouin, Duclair, Fucale (add Erne in the mix) will all be ranked and drafter before Lazar. Their skills, their upside and their athletic abilitities tops Lazar.

Morgan Rielly is pretty similiar to Pulock and the Leafs are still without a true #1 center.

haha no problem! Jokinen was a big addition and the team has lots of young and improving forwards. Plus being in a weak division helps too.

After watching the Russia Canada challenge I wouldn't be surprised if monahan goes at #3. I think shinkaruks numbers might have been a tad inflated playing with etem last year, this year will be a big test. Ive heard that this draft year is loaded with more talent then most years, im curious if anyone has any insight on how deep it is. Is there top line potential from the top of the first through to the end or is there a significant drop off like this past year?

Question, what's missing at the leaf's:

A) True #1 Center
B) True #1 Blueliner
C) True #1 goalie
D) All of the above

Next year's draft offers "D", don't put all your eggs in one basket. if a #1 center isn't available, there are other needs.

Well of course they'll grab a winger or a d-man if a better center isn't available.
I'd say they are missing a true #1 goalie and true #1 center. With Phaneuf and Rielly they've got aruably two #1 d-men.

Barkov,Shinkaruk and Monahan are all very close. Barkov I give the edge to though being much younger and has great size and playing against men already. He's got a high skill level too.

This year is extremely deep and probably the best draft since 2003. Some people say "next years draft is better" every year, but 2013 draft year truly is. 2012 was the year of the d-men, but overall was a little weaker of a draft. 2013 is the year of the forward and overall will be great still.

I currently have Sorensen near the end of the draft and mostly the big injury has him lower, but he certainly could be a 1st liner. Alex Forsberg is another high skilled player, though I don't have him in the 1st round right now. He has top-6 potential. He is on the smaller side and rather one-dimensional though.

I am already really excited for this draft. I hope the Leafs have another crappy season so we can get a top flight centre.
