This is odd:

Quote:
The 2003 NHL Entry Draft has been lauded for the vast talent that it provided to NHL teams down the line. Names such as Marc-Andre Fleury, Eric Staal, Jeff Carter, and Ryan Suter were just some of the first round selections that highlighted the 2003 draft class, but the talent pool for that draft was also stocked in the later rounds.
He used MAF and even Carter in his sample of 4 when there were better players available.

IMO, 1993 doesn't get enough love, probably because the #1 was one of the biggest busts ever. But overall, what a great first round, and some good choices in later rounds, too.

Gonna give a huge homer vote to 05, just because it gave us Crosby and Letang (+ indirectly Neal). 03 and 06 were some of the better recent ones though.

You have a Hart Trophy winner, a Ted Lindsay winner, and one of the most hilarious moments ever in NHL history all in the top 3 picks. What more could you ask for?
