Which further exacerbated the fact that apparently Cherry was unable to get any practice ice time for his squad. It totally showed.

That's not true at all.
The team practised on Monday and had a pre-game skate on Wednesday. This is the exact same schedule as Team Orr.

There were some problems with flights showing up on Monday, but that solely impacted Team Orr. Team Cherry had all their players available for Monday's practice (granted some walked directly into the Metro Centre, put on their gear and hit the ice).

I thought he looked better last year. Maybe that is a function of his linemates, but he didnt look very good at the WJC, nor the prospects game imo.

I'm confused at the "once again" part ... When has Fucale done this before, consistently enough to make you post that? I'll ignore the fact the he actually played pretty well last night, but I just don't get it ...

There is a debate for #1 NA goalie, most think it's Fucale, but stats aren't everything ... To my knowledge scouts look for the tools to become, and the current ability to play at a high level. Not only has Fucale done that, but also has arguably the best technical goalie, with great maturity and poise of all 95's ... Too much emphasis is placed on the magic .900 # which he's not at, but probably should be ...

There, I've defended him enough lol.

Also, what's with the way your posts are formatted lol

He probably wont respond to you.

He comes in to threads and makes long, winded posts which are extremely hard to read and then leaves, rarely to return to the thread.

The guy on Sportsnet must have meant more practice time, or something. I definitely heard him mention that Cherry was livid about not getting ice for practice at some point.

Not to make excuses for him but he had just served a 10 game suspension and hadn't played a competitive game in about a month at the time of the WJC came.

Yeah, he made a stink about there only being on-ice testing on Tuesday and nothing else. But like I said, it was the same story for both teams. So no one got any unfair advantage.

Fucale actually played well, he let in one bad goal (Dauphine goal) but beside that he made a great save only for Erne to put the rebound in....and I can not remember the other goal on him but that was not his fault either....he made a number of great saves and faced a lot of shots and unlike reg season these shooters are pretty quality and he made some really really athletic saves....so I guess you just have a hate on for the guy and can not changed judgement.

I agree with all that ... And I'm assuming the last line there isn't directed at me lol.

As for Fucale tonight, he's had it easy so far.

To be honest, I was more impressed by this year's crop of d-men, than most of the forwards.
PLAYERS WHO IMPRESSED ME, IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER:

-Seth Jones
-Zadorov
-D. Nurse
-Erne
-The Smurf Line (Petan, Duclair, Bjorkstrand (sp))
-Chris Bigras
-M. Bowie
-L. Dauphin
-Jarry

At this point, I can't recall any others.

Just to touch on some of the performances at the CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, here are a few notes our guys had:

Team Cherry: http://futureconsiderations.ca/cherr...rospects-game/
Team Orr: http://futureconsiderations.ca/orr-e...spects-game-2/

Lots of great performances by some of the draft's top eligibles.
