Well, might as well continue the discussion here. I believe we were debating Phil vs Nash.

As someone who has followed Nash for years (die hard knights fan and I make it a point to follow as many of them as possible) I can honestly say a lot of his rep comes from his draft slot and being the big fish in a terrible terrible pond.

He is playing great. Those who say he is playing bad do not watch hockey at all. He needs a goal to get going but he is not playing bad. We expect a lot from him but keep in mind it is a shortened season, everyone is trying to adapt

Not worried, he was a +3 tonight, playin his best hockey as a leaf so far. And a complete game is by far more important

maybe we keep him, trade grabo and kulimen for top young prospects ready to play, save 7.5 mil
pay to go get getzlaf or perry, than sign kessel at 6.5 mil

Not bad, not bad.....

I still think Kessel gets 7 per.

Kulie could bring a lot in, as would grabbo.

20% of the season gone and Kessel hasn't scored and tonight against a terrible goalie.
And JVR is making Kessel look bad.
For that matter so is hozler.

I'm worried about Gomez 2.0 .

99 goals in three seasons. I think your worries are overblown. Is this even his longest streak as a Leaf?

You do realize he had nothing to do with any of the goals, including the two he got assists for.

Phil wont score until game 15. I wondering when this team will start to plummet like usual? When is the 7 game losing streak going to start? Maybe when games really matter, they will fold quickly.

Normally I'd agree with you but I think 72 is sharing what is quickly becoming a common sentiment. Overblown? Probably. But I guarantee nobody is more frustrated than Phil

I do fully expect the trolling to begin shortly however

He did nothing to create either of those goals. I mean, you were watching right. He happened to touch the puck shortly before the goal was scored, thus he was credited with an assist. Did he actually help make the goals happen...absolutely not. In fact on the first goal it happened despite his mis-pass on the 3-on-2 right in front of the net.

I am of course assuming you understand how assists work here. If not, cant help ya.

He is just ULTRA snakebit... It will come!

Getting rid of Bozak might also help his cause!
