Good time to ask a question that got me thinking. With all the talk about wearing jerseys to games where your team isn't even playing what is your opinion on wearing say a Claude Lemeiux or Scott Stevens jersey to a Devils game or any game pretty much even if the team they played for is not in the game? Well Scott Stevens is pretty much open, but someone like Claude Lemeiux, or Stephane Richer? Or for the really old school with Kirk Muller?
Well I have a Kovalchuk Thrashers jersey (the pre Edge powder blue one) that I wouldn't have a problem with wearing to Devils games. And if I was going to a Blues game, I'd consider it acceptable to wear my Langenbrunner Devils jersey. Just not something like wearing a Devils jersey to a Bruins-Stars game or something like that, unless that Devils jersey had a player on it who currently plays for one of the teams in that game.
That's my personal opinion on the whole jersey wearing situation. Minor league games I think it's fine to wear any jersey of any team, just as long as it's hockey.
Haha alright that's cool. I don't find it weird to wear a Richer, or Lemieux or a Guerin jersey cause I used to all the time. None of those guys are even still playing. Obviously I couldn't wear the Guerin from 97-10 when he still playing for other teams.
Nowadays since I don't live in Jersey no more, and don't have season tickets I stick to wearing current players jerseys when I go to the 10 games a year I go to including the 4 in Florida. The other night I got had an Elias. Tomorrow I'm wearing a Brodeur to commemorate what could be my last game ever seeing him play in!
Hopefully there is a playoff run though, and a game Marty plays in February when I come back for a weekend!
Question folks, my authentic 1.0 Parise jersey is a little snug on me and its a 50, what size is that cause i found a throwback Shanahan jersey on ebay but its a large and I don't know if it would fit me.
My throwback is a Large and it fits me exactly how I like (I prefer them to be a bit loose, not a snug fit). I'm around 5'7" and 165 lbs. last I checked.
Im 5'10 and 220. The seller says armpit to arm pit is 24 inches. and collar to bottom 30. my current parise authentic seems to only be like 18 from armpit to armpit.
Alexander Mogilny is one of the greatest players of all time, and definitely the most underrated. Fight me if you want. The fact that no one who didn't watch Hockey in the 90s/early 00s knows Mogilny by name makes him the most underrated. One of the best trades we made.
