Grigorenko now has a goal and three assists. Quebec leads Rimouski, 5-3.

Nice.

haha, well doesn't seem like he's too snakebitten over being demoted. Nice job, Grigs.

He ends the season with 54 points in 33 games. That's a 96 point pace. I bet that pace would have been even higher if he had played the entire season down in the Q. However, I think the experience he gained in the NHL really helped him.

I think he's gonna do some serious damage in the playoffs.

Grigorenko skated on a line with Adam Erne ('13) and Nick Sorensen ('13) .. finished +1 with one unassisted goal (wrister; Grigo chants followed) and three primary assists .. was on the ice for seven of the game's eight goals, as Quebec won 5-3 ... next up is a first-round matchup with Chicoutimi, featuring Charles Hudon ('12 122nd MTL) and Laurent Dauphin ('13).

Huge smile on Grigorenko's face during his scrum. Said he was really happy to be back in Québec where he can play more than 5 minutes.

Yea, he's moved on...They messed up with this one. Very belligerent comments, but I don't blame him at all. His talent is there, but he seems to poking at the Sabres org. But yes, great to see he is already back in form.

Must be nice for him, finally playing with talent.

Sorensen would be a solid pick with our 3rd rounder, he might be picked right around there late 2nd/ early 3rd.

The junior game probably seems in slow motion now that he's played in the NHL.

He must feel faster now that the game has slowed down with his skating too.

I can't wait to see what this team looks like in October.

Definitely one of his issues in Buffalo was simply keeping up. Glad he's lighting it up right away.

Got to remember it's his second language, I'm not saying he doesn't feel sour at all with the Sabres, but I think he was just trying to be honest and didn't realize how it sounded.

Good for Grigs to have a huge game. He could've easily crumbled after being sent down but he went out and proved a point. Hopefully he can keep it up through the playoffs.

Fire Lamoriello! What is that idiot thinking?

He went from the top GM in the league to the 29th worst with this move.

Can't ruin what's already terrible.

Lamoriello is becoming increasingly senile.
The fact that he kept the lowest pick he'll have in the next few years and drafted this kid when they are required to forfeit one (due to the incredible Kovalchuk contract) is enough evidence of that.

It sucks Grigorenko was sent down, I think he will be a Kadri 2.0 as in he'll have a slow development and he'll usually be recalled when there are injuries. But when he eventually makes the NHL permanently he'll explode and (most) teams that passed up on him will regret it. That's just my personal opinion though, only time will tell how fast or slow he'll develop but I think we can all agree on him becoming a good player

I agree with the Kadri comparison in the sense that he's a project.
He has desirable skills, but some undesirable traits.

IMO though Kadri would not have become an NHL player without the constant whipping he got with the Marlies.
It remains to be seen if Grigorenko needs the same treatment, if he'll get it, and if he'll do his part.

Yep, they should have passed on that pick and waited. They got greedy early.
