I remember when one of the local stations got their first doppler and it was during one of our droughts and they would display the damn thing every single newscast showing no rain anywhere. They were so sad.

It was January 1999, with the city buried under a metre of snow, when the then-mayor delighted the rest of the country by drafting Canadian soldiers to battle drifts and liberate buried bus shelters.
"We arranged it so that seniors citizens could go around the corner to get milk, so that people could get on the TTC," he recalls.

It has been in 50's (Fahrenheit) here, but it is supposed to down to around 8 on Tuesday and be cold for a few days and then is supposed to be in the 40's the rest of the month. There has been alot of warm weather this year so far.
There was a pretty bad Windstorm in Toronto last night. The sound of the rain on the roof and the rattling of my windows woke me at 3am. There was a wind warning for winds at 90km/h.
It was still pretty windy today. I got pushed around while walking around at noonish. Now it's just cold.
Today was a fun drive home from Montreal to Ottawa. Only took about ohhhhh 3.5 hours and about an hour after I got the OPP closed the 417 from the Quebec border west until almost Ottawa I believe. Guess I left in time this morning if not I would have been stuck in Montreal, not that it would have been a bad thing, more time with the family!
