They were very close during their shared time, but Kariya left after 03 (after a few meh seasons, and a SCF loss), while Selanne came back in 05, and has been with the Ducks for 8 years and has won a cup.

Which should be irrelevant given what this poll is about. As stated in the OP:

"which one was better in their joined time in Anaheim?"

What do you mean? It is the same question in both polls...

How? We're technically an entirely different team now. You ever see PK in a Anaheim Ducks jersey? We've seen Teemu plenty though. He and Getzlaf are the faces of the franchise right now.

I'm referring to the people who are discussing who they think is the greatest Duck of all time/Face of the franchise. I know it's supposed to be about who was the best during their shared time (I think it's equal btw), but that's not what people started talking about.

FWIW, Anaheim has planed on retiring Selanne's number for years, and there will probably be a number retirement ceremony ASAP after he officially retires. Kariya, on the other hand, is not going to get his number retired, and they have already given his number away to another star player in Bobby Ryan.

Just because you're nostalgic towards the hockey players of your childhood, doesn't mean that's actually the case.
