Eric Staal vs Rick Nash

Who do you think will do better in this 48-game season?

I think Nash is hungry and in a very good situation in NY. I think he'll have a better year.

Eric is the better player though.

Eric. You saw how much hitting his brother affected his game, having one if his brothers on the team will be a huge boost in morale, and I think they'll be money on the PP together, I think E. Staal will be a top 10 scorer this year

I think Nash will have the better year, but I'm very biased.

Eric.

Nash and Staal are roughly equal in goalscoring, but Eric blows Nash out of the water in playmaking.

Both of these guys have reasons to have a great season coming up. Staal is now playing with his brother, and it looks like his team might be trying to go for it this season. Nash, too, is on a team with big expectations, and he may be playing with legitemate cup chances for the first time in his career.

Close. But there are very few players that I think are better than Eric Staal, and Nash isn't one of them. I think Eric will have the better year.

I think Staal is the better player and will play a bigger role on his team.

Who else thinks they would be deadly playing together on the same line?

Staal. Many years of picking Nash too high in my drafts has taught me that just when you think he is going to break out....he scores at a .71 point per game pace.

Jordan never produced well on the PP in Pittsburgh with the minutes given him, I doubt he'd help Eric too much there.

I think this will be close, they both seemed primed to have good seasons, and I'd say 20+ goals, 40+ points for both. Eric seems to have good and bad halves to his seasons, so hopefully this will be one of his good ones.

Heh, both players that I find to be overrated around the league. I'll go with Nash because he's in a much better situation right now playing for a new, top contender and should be hungry to compete on a great team.
