Blacker- If his AP numbers are any indication of his potential still, he'd be a good underage goalie regardless of his size.
Timpano- Athletic, has the speed, but probably needs the most adustment to his game for the next level.
McGlynn- He has the luxury of practicing with half of the first round this year on his team (Sarcasm, but not so far off). I believe he has the potential to crack a roster IF the back up position is open. I don't think he is beating out a capable back up though depending on where he gets drafted.
Luke Opilka - St.louis JR blues AAA
Kristofer Carlson-G- Washington Little Caps U16 (possibly will go USNTDP)

They are both highly touted goalies who also have very nice upside, might be able to make the jump.

On Oakville I like Adrian Clark as much as McGlynn.

Opilka and Carlson won't report as 16 year olds and both could end up a the USNTDP or on a USHL team. Results of the USNTDP Camp will help sort this out. McGlynn & Clark are both good. Clark needs to work on his speed and athleticism. Nice size to work with and good tools. McGlynn's quick feet, athletic ability, and technique seem to be more developed.

I think Day will be awarded exceptional status which will make him 1st overall to Ottawa. Hockey Canada wants to get him into the system. Better earlier than later.

What about the players to watch this weekend
Brady Baker-COW
Impressed me a lot this weekend has great speed, great heads up player and showed his strength today.
3-5 round pick

Ryan Sarris-Whitby
Not a great showing rushes the puck and then is lost with what to do, great speed needs time with a Tier 2 team and then make the jump.
6-9 round pick

Erie would be the best team to play for during your NHL draft, especially with all the attention surrounding McDavid.

My Predictions:

Div 1- Marlies, Colts
Div 2- YSE, Waterloo
Div 3- Oakville, Jr C's
Div 4- Elgin, Whitby

Div 2 and 3 are the toughest to decide. Any of the Div 2 teams could move on, I just don't know if the Rebels get upset, and YSE has been a top team all along. Div 3 Oakville runs away with, however, HPL works hard and could benefit with their speed, while COW has been on a tear lately, might be hard to stop momentum.

I personally dont understand the Toronto Red Wings invite. I dont see any of there guys inside the Top 2 rounds for the draft. Helvig would be the only one maybe late second round.

I believe that wildcard spot should have gone to London Gold, who have 3 guys inside the Top 40 and other interesting prospects.

Teams 3 4 5 could all change. Looks like the right order and good fit for teams. I would put Schlickting at Oshawa spot.

Fair enough.

Crouse is no bum though. Could be a good winger for McDavid

Crouse, McKenzie and McCool are very close. Crouse has a little less skill than the other 2. McKenzie is the best of the three.

Isn't there a connection between the bulls and Whitby Wildcats? Head coach of whitby is OHL commish David Branch and Assistant GM/Head scout of the bulls is David's son Barclay Branch? Hmmmmmmm........Maybe Bulls take Hayden McCool in the first 2 rounds?

I'm in agreeance with both of these comments. I do like Clark, the only reason I left him off of my analysis list is that I believe McGlynn is the guy with more potential. Clark continues to need a little bit more proper training, but if he ends up on the right team next year will develop into an elite netminder. Either him or McGlynn should be battling it out to make the Blades next year.

There is a lot more talent on Gold than TRW, but yet again it's hard to take a team that failed to win a play off series. I am happy to see HPL make it over Don Mills though as well. I think Helvig has a shot at playing in the OHL next year, and will be good to see him against Konecny and co.

Would be a pretty good pick. Not in the first round though I don't think. Name would look awesome on any jersey tho

I have to agree. London Gold should be there. Other than Helvig TRW has very few interesting prospects. Halton was avery good add to this tournament. This is all a last shot for a few Propects. Not much will change. The biggest mistakes are the ones made based on the final viewing or two. If scouts have a write up on a player based on 30 games 4 or 5 won't change much. It's the tail end of a long season for these kids and some teams are gassed.

Saban should be a 2nd rounder.
