Be interesting if Yan commits would not be the least surprised to see him in Sarnia next season

I'm hoping the Petes take Mckenzie Crouse or Strome at 5 if we make the playoffs.. Anybody think they'd have reporting issues with those players? Has anybody heard or recognized any change with what players think about Peterborough since the recent charge for playoffs?

Strome is the pick if he's available. No doubt. He is a franchise player.

No. You haven't said one word on Kirwan in the last month, I just looked at your history. Besides that, the commitment was made last week. Anything before that was pure speculation. You have said that players have committed to the US-NTDP, but people within the US program (the ones that confirmed Kirwan last week) tell me that they have yet to sign.

You still have not clarified what U16 5 Nations Cup that Korostelev will be playing in by the way...

But would he report to the peterpatch?

I could ask him. I think he would. Part 2 of the brother act, Nick Ritchie would be a great winger for Dylan.

My bad, I agree they would be a deadly combination. Pure playmaker with someone who loves to shoot.

Last year they went until around 7ish in rink 2. Main Bowl games should end around 4 in order to get ready for the OHL game.

With Kirwan apparently out of the first round picture, do the Knights look like a match for Marner? They do love their small forwards. Although I would think drafting a d-man in the first round is a more pressing issue with the expected loss of Harrington, Sefton and Hughes. Any chance Henley drops to #19? What other d-man would fit the bill for the Knights at that spot?

Does anyone know if the Soo Thunder are likely to be making an appearance at the OHL Cup?
Since they're an independent team, I'd guess there's no way to qualify other than an at large invite (three northern teams?)..

Same question could be asked for Compuware, but that's a little more complicated because of their playoffs.

The NOHA will be represented by an all star team that was picked by coaches selected by the NOHA itself . It will consist of players who were at the tryout camp in August in North Bay . Mostly players from the elite AA teams in Soo and Sudbury with a few who chose to play in the GNML .

The NOHA team lineup looks like this:

Goaltenders: Kevin Labelle – Garson, Mackenzie Savard – Dowling.

Defence: Andrew Barbeau – Sault Ste. Marie, Caleb Boman – Sault Ste. Marie, Owen Headrick – Garden River, Cameron Lizotte – Falconbridge, Alex Morin – Sault Ste. Marie, Niibin Nashkawa – Blind River.

Forwards: Brody Brunet – Hanmer, Matthew Caruso – Sault Ste. Marie, Owen Fransen - Sudbury Brenden Locke – Iroquois Falls, Adam McPhail – Sault Ste. Marie, Eric Paquette – Sudbury, Anthony Pelletier – Birch Island, Alexi Rivet – Haileybury, Blake Speers – Sault Ste. Marie Bradley Sutton – Sudbury, Jason Uhl – Sault Ste. Marie Scott Villeneuve – Val Caron.

Team NOHA will be competing in the following events: OMHA Minor Midget Showcase in Barrie from November 30 – December 2, 2012, the OHL Cup in March, 2013 as well as the OHL Gold Cup in May, 2013.

Team NOHA is comprised of OHL Draft-eligible players who attended the NOHA Player Development Weekend in North Bay in August, 2012, and were further evaluated over the first two months of the season with their club teams.

Thanks, I think I remember hearing about this but it slipped my mind.
I was mostly asking because I want to see Speers, so as long as he's there, I don't care if it's with the Thunder or an all-star team.

How is Sicoly's season going? I see that he didn't make the NOHA all star lineup.

Well, it looks like that team was formed with the interests of 97's in mind, so Sicoly was probably left off because he's a 98.

Compuware won't be there. If anyone from Detroit is there, it will be an all star team of sorts consisting of Detroit/Chicago kids whose teams have been eliminated from the playoffs, as well as some top prep school kids. The team that came last year was very strong, and gave the '96 Marlies all they could handle in one of the best games of the tournament.

To my knowledge the team was selected with certain 'ratios' in mind. They capped the amount of players in different regions, which is a shame if you think about it.

Is that what the Little Caesars team was last year?
I don't really follow US teams so I have no idea what their regular roster looked like.
