Two of the deepest crop of forwards in the league, both probably top 5.

McGinn
Mitchell
Kobasew
Mcleod
x- Bordeleau

Blues top 6:
Backes
Oshie
Perron
McDonald
Berglund
Taresenko/Stewart

Bottom 6:
Stewart/Taresenko
Dagostini
Steen
Porter
Langenbrunner
Sobotka
x- Nichol

Avs with RoR, but our bottom 6 takes a big hit without him.

Blues. They have more depth imo, which is impressive because with O'Reilly we have a deep top 9.

Why does everyone think ROR is some magical demi-god? He had one decent season playing with Gabriel Landeskog. Once Landeskog starts playing with Duchene, and ROR starts playing with third liners like he's supposed to, he's going to go back to being a 30 point player (max) who can play good defense. You know, your typical third line center...

Lol what? Did I miss something, when did the Aves get "one of the deepest forward cores in the league"?

Blues AINEC.

Why isn't ROR included? He hurt.. I give slight advantage to the Avs with ROR, STL without him.

Lol "good defense" is more like great defense... Yes he's overrated but he's certainly no " typical 3rd liner"

It certainly is close, but neither are top 5. Neither team has an elite player

Still no contract.

Blues for me. I think they're deeper and more versatile. It's hard to say though because of the amount of potential of some of these guys. Big leaps or returns to productions from guys like Duchene, Landeskog, and Stastny or Perron, Berglund, Tarasenko and Stewart could change things quite dramatically

He's a third line center in the top half of the league, he's one of the better third line centers in the league, it doesn't matter how you phrase it. He's gonna score ~30 points, while providing good shutdown defense. That's a typical third line center, regardless of how good that defense is.

I think it would be easier if you put both teams as their lines come out, Im not sure the Avs lines but here is STL

Perron - Backes - Oshie
McDonald - Steen - Tarasenko
Schwartz - Berglund - Stewart
Sobotka - Nichol - Langenbrunner
extras: D'Agostini, Reaves, Porter

Right now its :

Landy-Duchene-Paranteau
McGinn-Stastny-Jones
Hejduk-Mitchell-Downie
McLeod- Olver- Bordaleau
Kobasew

ROR would sub in for Mitchell if he returns.

Yeah, no offense but that's not even close to a top 5 offense

I'd give the edge to Blues, even with ROR with Avs.

Blues fan trying to be objective, and still go with the Blues. With Schwartz and Tarasenko, a healthy AndMac, and a better 4th line.

...a return to form for Stewart only distances it further.

I like the Avs forward group, though...

Oh ya I knew i was forgetting someone on the Avs, put RoR in.

The scary thing with the Avs is that they have 7 top 6 forwards (RoR can fill in on a top 6 role) even Hejduk can jump in the top 6 from time to time if anyone gets injured.
