IF Lou signs anyone he simply move Josefson to the AHL then Waives 1 of the goons tomorrow opening up a spot for said signed player.
Or if Josefson is still hurting he can move him to IR for the weekend until me gets 1 of the goons thru waivers.
Tedenby comes back up tomorrow Butler (if not claimed) got to the AHL and all is well in Devil land.
If we had tried to put Harrold thru he would have got claimed right away, we have a better shot of getting Butler thru then anyone. Plus it always us to call him up or send him down for the rest of the season once he clears (I believe)
Matteau's unlikely to play more than five games; which sees him reassigned by the beginning of February. Butler will also be off the roster by then. Henrique and one other (Darche, Tedenby, Gomez, Sykora, Daneyko, Bridgman) return the roster to 23, assuming no-one else has been knocked to injured reserve in the meantime.
At about this time last year I was hoping they would deal Salvador and let Corrente have a shot and that Larsson was going to be the savior. Can't predict anything right now.
We spent the whole season without our #1 and #2 centers.
Henrique stepped up after folks were hurt. Anyone call that?
Larsson got hurt and fairly disappeared and wasn't the savior rookie-of-the-year everyone expected. Maybe he grows up this year.
If you would've told me that Carter, Gionta, Bernier, Poni, Fayne, Zidlicky and Salvador were going to be the vital cogs in our run to the Cup finals...well...
The only thing predictable about last season was that ESPN expected us to not make the playoffs.
This is a good team - and I'm looking forward to all of the Barch and Matteau praise emails in coming weeks.
Two different players who serve two different purposes. Butler is useless outside of a top 6 role. Janssen is useless in any role, but he's better suited as a 4th liner in case a game gets out of hand. He can also bring some energy to the team. Butler lost his spot to Tedenby.
