What? That O'Reilly is taking things personally?

No, he told us he'd be surprised if O'Reilly played another game for the Avs because they have very different opinions on what the contract should look like and that the negotiations had soured.

More or less what PAZ has said. TPS has been invaluable to us here for some inside knowledge from the players.

So yeah, I don't think that it's wrong to say that TPS can provide some updates, should he decided to, on the O'Reilly situation.

Like I said, TPS is a good poster and I appreciate any info he provides but that's just his opinion on the whole thing. Unless O'Reilly told him he would be surprised if he played another game for the Avs, it really doesn't mean anything. It's an opinion just like the rest of have. TPS has also been wrong before. But I'll leave it that because I don't want to make it seem like I'm bashing TPS. That's not what I'm trying to do at all.

Enough about some guy who plays for Metallurg Magnitogorsk in the KHL. Time to get this thread back on track.

Go Avs Go!

Go Avs Go!
Just my final note on this. TPS has acknowledged in the past that he has been wrong on things. But it's more than just his opinion that O'Reilly may not play another game in an Avalanche uniform. It was the fact that as negotiations were going smoothly, something happened. The Avs began pointing out deficiencies in O'Reilly's game. Whether that was before or after O'Reilly's agent put together a case that Ryan should be paid close in the 5 million a year range.

But, I digress, you are correct, let's get/keep this thread on the topic at hand, which would be the Avalanche game tonight, I know that the both of us are looking forward to it!

I, for one, am very excited to see Landeskog's first game as captain. It's been a very long wait.

D'oeth. I'll blame that on pre game drinking and Varlamov's boyish face.

It took me a while to recognize Stastny. He rarely looks that serious.

...So it has come to this. Our GDT are now trying to recognize our own players without helmets on.

I hope Gary Bettman and his enormous ears are happy at what he has done to the sport.

I hope that was a joke about not being able to recognize our players.
