If I could stop working or when I retire I'd love to work at the shelter where we got our dog Ellie.
It's as close as I could get to taking them all home. I like animals in general but I truly love dogs. Matter of fact love them more than a lot of people.
When I win the lottery I am going to have the biggest no-kill shelter foundation ever. No animal will ever be put down unless its their time.
But until then I will spoil the shelter dog who scratches at my door wanting an ear rub or a puppy biscuit.

my cat (who was adopted) is currently not eating her cat food. im not sure if shes got a bad tummy or ...she has a history of bad teeth. so I've been feeding her tuna.
I dont care if I'm spoiling her...or if she scratches the sofa or whatever. she was neglected and had born kittens before she was 6 months old.
You guys have nice ideas about shelters and helping however people need to stop over breeding their dogs just to make a buck and puppy mills need to also be shut down all of them.
From what I remember even non kill shelters ARE kill shelters. Which means some dogs they get in have to be put down. Others who are there for over a year or more and look to not ever be adopted are also put down since they are now just shelter animals. I forget how to explain that.
I would love to someday get rich and buy a big ranch where 100s upon 100s of animals could come to stay and be fostered or live if they don't get adopted.
That hairy little thing is a poppy. I had no idea thats what they looked like. I was fortunate enough to shoot flowers in my girlfriends' studio this weekend. We had a blast. The curly poppies had us in giggle fits. heres another one

This looks like it could be from the opening sequence from Monty Python - queue up Liberty Bell March here....
Flying to Wisconsin tomorrow on a 3 night trip for software certification. Already freaking out about it. Hoping to pass out during the ascent and wake up in Cleveland. Not sure how I'm going to drag myself to the connecting flight, hopefully my boss holds true to his word and carries me over his shoulder if needed.
