Which is combination of two or three factors:

1) We love hockey
2) Tabloids love stories involving Finns because they sell well (especially the ones where Finns are praised by famous people/well-known experts)

...

3) We don't have enough good prospects

Another thing Finland has in common with Minnesota... Minnesotans love their stories about Minnesotans!

It's the "small folk in a big world" -syndrome. You'll notice the same thing if you ever move to a small town. Any time the said town is mentioned somewhere or there's a relatively small event, the local paper is all over it.

The opponent just got their first SOG and the 2nd just started.

BAC outshot them 11-0 in the 1st.

EDIT: 1-1, 5 on 3 PP goal.
EDIT2: 2-1 BAC after 2.

Re-inforcing a thought Ive had for awhile.
Looking at some young guys playing pro, really makes me think our young guys are trending well !

Good young players like Shore in Florida has 2 goals in 40 games, Nick Bjustad 0 points and -6 in 8 games, Haula 1 even strength point in 6 games, Ryan Strome 2goals in 10 games etc, etc, really emphasis the diference between Major Junior , college versus PRO hockey.

Curious, whats the scoop on Danny Kristo, freind of mine lives in Hamilton and wasnt impressed by him, I had heard alot of great things about him.
He is a 2008 draft eligible guy, clearly a more mature prospect than a Granlund(2010) or a Phillips(2011) draft guy--checked his numbers, not good, no goals in 9 AHL games and a minus player.
Again, thru these boards had expected alot, being a Minnesota kid, can anybody enlighten me.

Thank you

There are a few UND fans around here but most people on this board wouldn't have positive things to say about Kristo.

Kristo strikes me as an immature kid.

Glad he isn't a Wild prospect.

I played with him, fast, although likely not in the NHL, and good shot but small. Plays a solid two way game, Leddy overshadowed him by far though in terms of talent. Similar player to Schroeder without quite the offensive instincts IMO.

So, BAC finally lost their first playoff game last night. (2-1 BAC in the series now)

I will watch game 4 tonight. Will keep an eye on Bussieres.

Crap, BAC dominating the game so far but the other team found a way to score on their first SOG.

Shots: 8-1

EDIT: 2-0 now. Shots: 8-5.
