Getting used to the claw grip. Hardest part is firing with my middle finger (while still aiming) since my pointer finger and thumb were programmed together it seemed. I don't have jump shooting down or anything but have been efficient in dropping and reloading after gunfights or cover.
I would suggest trying it with both smgs and ARs as I did just smgs which makes it hard for the long shots. But I have gone on a couple tears and got some merciless (which rarely happened before for me).
To close out my thoughts on the COD Championships I'll copy and paste what I wrote at the end of the last thread in case others didn't see it.
"This is probably going to be a biased opinion but I believe if Hardpoint didn't exist in Black Ops 2 then Optic would have won that tournament."
Competitive Call of Duty is definitely on the rise which is absolutely amazing to see. There were around 90 thousand people watching the Optic vs Fariko match to see who would go on to the final game and I heard there were over 100 thousand watching the championship game.
Moving on, I haven't watched the video from Treyarch explaining the upcoming DLC on April 16th yet but I did see a video of WoodysGamertag's thoughts from the trailer. I'm in the same boat as him being a little skeptical about the lava map. I think it's either going to be a really great map or a really poor map that everyone hates to play.

I've practiced using the claw grip in a private match against bots but I've never used it in a public match yet. I can definitely see the benefits of being able to press A,B,Y,X without taking your finger off the right stick. I don't know if I was doing it wrong but my index finger started to hurt after a while because of being stretched out for so long. I think playing with the claw grip is most beneficial when being used to jump shot. If you can maintain good aim while doing it you'll definitely win a lot more gunfights as it seems to work more effectively than drop shotting in this game.
I'm never going to buy one, I'm just curious, what does a Scuf controller do/offer?
Well you can put paddles on the back of your controller on each side shown in the picture below that can programmed to be buttons like A and B or I believe you can pick any button you want but I feel A and B would work best. You can press the paddle for A to jump without having to take your right thumb off the right thumbstick so you wouldn't have to play with the claw grip. You can also get these trigger stop things to help you shoot semi-auto weapons faster.

Well that just seems... cheap? Am I the only one who still just uses the good ole stock Xbox controller and headset?

do they make this controller for ps3? if so can u link where i can buy my controller is on its last legs and the onky reason i didnt replace is i used that money on gears judgment instead. i was playing gears of war for my 360 and i started using a semi claw grip so i could dive and aim and its much easier with a 360 controller.
i dont know how you guys can enjoy core. this weekend i played tdm for the first time because i played a few rounds with guys just finishing clan challenges. i ended up running a class lightweight, scavenger, fast hands, marathon, tactical mask, combat axe, and 2 shock charges. i was often positive or even using no gun because i could run through some gun fire. i had visions of mw2 commando except i was using a lot of shock charges.
im not gonna say i dominated because i had a 1-9 and a 5-13 game but i had more 1kd games then you should running only a knife. now i need 2 bloodthirsty and 2 kills with an enemy weapon for a gold knife
I have a scuf and it's not really cheap at all, when I get the same thing out of playing claw grip. Also anyone can make their own controller stops just have to find the sweet spot on the trigger.
I'm thinking about it but I'm a little hesitant about spending 100+ dollars on an Xbox controller.
I have one and like it. I didn't get trigger stops because they get annoying if you want to play other games outside of CoD. Worth the money? I don't know. Definitely saves the pain of cramping while trying to get used to claw. I had a problem with the first one that I bought and had to send it back. It was faulty in that it caused my mic to be constantly keyed. And then the one that they replaced it with had a squeaky left trigger. I kept it because I didn't feel like going through the return process again, but probably means that the trigger will wear out quicker than it normally should.
Overall though, I found it made learning how to drop shot and jump shot quite a bit easier.
Apparently the build quality isn't excellent. The controls at the back sometimes have issues and break relatively easily too. I'm not that dedicated to gaming to start buying custom controllers.
cool man, i saw some earlier but this has more options then i saw. can i change specs like keep the rumble feature? i want to get the yellow controller but as advertised rumble has been deleted.

You should be able to customize it, along the right side on the product page. Removing the rumble pad usually is an extra.
News flash, if you need to camp while playing Hardcore, you aren't good at it. So don't play it. You are ruining your teams game with your crappy score.
2nd point, if your connection sucks, don't play. You are then ruining the whole game for everyone. It is unfortunate, but don't waste money on a game you can't really play anyway.
Does anyone else only play League Play? I have been doing this for 2 months now. Pubs bore me to death and piss me off.
This guy. But I only log on when my buddy tells me he's going on, so I don't play too often anymore.
It's so funny loading into a core game and seeing the 6v6 lobby, it looks HUGE
Also, I'll never understand how the game determines how many ladder points you get in league, and the quitters annoy me to no end. But I'd rather grind up a ladder in a random series of game modes and maps against people keen on playing the objective, than go back to public at this point.
Oh God, down 1-0 in CTF with a whole round to go! Better quit!
Oh God, didn't get control of the first hardpoint within the first 10 seconds of the game, better quit!
Oh God, I died in the first round of SnD but my team still clutched it for me, better quit!
