It's so nice to see a GDT once again. I am looking forward to the beloved Rene Rancourt to give a big fist pump, hearing SLOWWW RIDEEE, TAKE IT EASYYY during a tv time out, and most of all that damn bust out livvvinng how cool is that~ toyota tundra commercial guaranteed to make us feel right back into the hockey spirit. The Bruins are back people. Lets knock some bodies out there tomorrow.

My fingers are ready and willing to defend my man Tuukka during the next 48 games. Tuukkatime, Tuukkamania is back baby, lets get on board!

I was thinking more of a reference to "The Thing" rather than CM Punk, but they both work.

Finally I get to stay up all night to watch some hockey. About time!

So pumped to watch the bruins again. Does anyone know what the best bar to watch a game in Boston is? I usually go to the greatest bar before the game but have never been down to actually watch a whole game at a bar. I want to make sure it's a place where they actually play the commentary.

When I was a consumer of alcohol, nothing beat watching a game with some friends at my place/their place, fridge full, no lineups, no distractions, volume/commentary intact and a heckuva lot cheaper

Who drops the mitts first tonight??

I get off at work at 7, so in all likelihood between making a quick run to sheetz and taking the 40 minute drive back home, I'm probably missing the first period at least.

Anybody else nervous about this season? Aside from the shortened amount of games, I'm concerned about Horton's health amongst other things. I just hope the guys are ready and awake.

Edit: And my guess is there'll be no dropping the gloves tonight. Call it a hunch.

The ice is down, the roster is set, the hockey clan is assembling...given the emotional roller-coaster of the lock-out its great to see how quickly hockey fever has returned.

Tonight I expect three things
1- a totally jacked-up crowd
2-some very uneven hockey
3- a 4-2 Bs win

If you were a NHL goalie and scored to make it 3-1 with say 20 seconds left, would you let one through so you get the GWG?

4-2 Rags with an empty net, goals by Lucic and Seguin. Bruins outshoot them by 8+ shots.

Start the season with an L, then win 6-7 straight.
