Schenn has been the better prospect by every single scouting syndication since the day they were drafted.

It's hard to not take Schenn in this comp going forward.
Except Kadri has out produced Schenn in the nhl?

Besides every ****ing league they both played in.
47 AHL games .. Yes that is the size of the sample size you are using to try and discredit the sample size of 57 and 69 NHL games.

Some sexy vision from "the bust":

Not shown in that gif is the play he made on the boards to win the puck and start the attack.

Trust me as a guy who wanted to keep Schenn there was a **** load of hate before the trade. I'm happy with the trade now because JVR is a freaking BAMF.

It's a nice play but to be completely impartial, Schenn had some pretty good highlights in the pittsburg series last year, so we can't simply base our opinion off of a few flashy moves. But the point totals atleast right now are a better indicator.

You make me laugh.
I love how guys like you keep trying to put words in our mouths. You're not a ventriloquist. Speak your own opinion, but don't speak on behalf of ours more specifically mine.

Idk Kadri does have more points in the NHL... in less games...

But lets go back to the junior stats as NHL point totals so far don't matter

Both will be good. No one is calling Kadri a star.

No one is saying he is a star. But he gets no respect in this thread and around HFboards when compared to guys like Brayden Schenn. I'm sure most Leaf fans agree with me when I sat we're not trying to argue that Naz is suddenly much greater than Schenn or that he's a star... but at least trying to get him to be considered at least equal to Brayden Schenn and capable of improving even more.

IMO, the 2009 draft can be divided right now into four tiers

Tavares
Ekman-Larsson

Kane
Duchene
Hedmen
Kulikov

Leddy
Kadri
Schenn
Johansson

Kassian
Runblad
Ellis
Krieder
Josefson
MPS

Rest (Haven't seen enough to judge)

We might see some guys in the third tier make a jump to that second tier by the end of this year. I'd like to do a 2009 redraft at the end of this year to see what people think, but it might be too early.

Schenn

Physically dominant
Great Shot
Fast

Kadri
Skilled
Great Vision
High Hockey IQ

One player can play on the half wall on the PP the other is most likely going to be your net front guy. One guy is fast and strong and uses power to generate opportunities. The other guy can take a dman one on one, stick handle in a phone booth and make something out of nothing.

I feel its getting to the point where these players should no longer be compared to each other. They bring totally different packages to the table, so it really depends on what a teams needs are.

But who is better or who you want wasn't the question. The question was: who will score more points this season?

Kadri is better. He's been better defensively, blocks shots, better on the powerplay, better offensively, better for shootouts. I wonder how people would perceive him if he had a robot personality and had a name of Matty Tucker.

Voted for Kadri because now everyone can see how he can produce once making the Leafs at the start of a season.
