Ron Swanson does love his whisky.

Jerry with the milk conversation, gold.

I ****ing love this show. The most vastly underrated comedy on television right now.

I hope we get enough Andy though

I love this show, a lot...but the way they've written the townspeople of Pawnee really irritates me...there's no way people could be that dumb...they're just incredibly annoying. And I've already had enough of the Pinewood character, much like they very quickly made Jamm irritating and annoying.

I'm well aware that's the point. I was simply saying that I think they're going too far with them.

I was pleased with the sufficient amount of the Sappersteins. Henry Winkler is a nice casting choice IMO.

So glad this show is back.

They should make a show of Ron travelling the world. I'd watch.

Best episode of any American sitcom I've seen since last season (and I watched pretty much every single one minus the HBO/Showtime ones that aren't technically sitcoms).

Hahah I didn't know whether to laugh about this or be depressed because it's sorta true.

The Simpson successfully did the same thing for about a decade. True though that the Pawnee ones are more one-dimensional but you do get certain ones like Perd and that crazy talk-show lady.

The Pawnee townspeople and their ridiculous complaints is one of the best parts of the show.

I agree with characters like Jamm though. Using recurring characters correctly without it seeming too forced is tough. It always seems to be, "Ohhh look who's back again! What kind of crazy shenanigans are they going to get into that is really similar to the last time they were on!"

I'm talking about specific townspeople, like the lady from last night's show, with the slugs. She's been on before and it's always something that is funny in small doses, but I felt that they used her too much last night. And that Marcia Langman lady and Jamm and this new Pinewood character, I guess I should have found better words. The specific characters that they use too much are what's irritating.

I love when they use Harris (and his pothead friend from the Animal Control), Jean Ralphio (who should just be in the cast as far as I am concerned), Crazy Ira & The ******, The guy who gets upset at everything in Town Hall meetings, the guy who starts a chant at every meeting...just don't go overboard with them.

NBC are so stupid to pit Parks & Rec against Big Bang Theory leading to those bad numbers considering that its their best sitcom. Of course Big Bang Theory is going to win that battle regardless of the quality of the episode. The show will unfortunately be cancelled if those numbers don't get up by the end of the season I think.

Starting next week, they should put Parks & Rec in at 8:30. Either that or put it on at 9 and then the Michael J Fox show at 9:30. Those who watch 2.5 Men over Parks live aren't gonna watch it anyways.

I would assume that with DVR numbers factored in, Parks will get a better rating for yesterday but that's still quite bad especially considering that was one of the better if not best sitcom episodes in September.

I also find it strange that 2.5 Men is getting those numbers. I watched the show online and it's really stooped in quality, last night was really bad. I felt stupider after watching it. I have the feeling though that if online viewership was factored in then their numbers would not be as high because they're mostly just from TV audiences. I did read something about Nielsen ratings expanding to track online viewership from sites like Hulu I believe but I don't know when that will come into effect. Hopefully soon, maybe reality shows will take a bit of a downturn then since people don't really watch that much reality TV online.

Will suck if this is it for Parks, probably my favorite comedy, last night was great, but the repeat of SHIELD had better numbers, Big Bang is an absolute ratings monster, my goodness.

Putting it up against BBT is incredibly stupid. That coupled with Lowe and Jones leaving and this could be it, unfortunately.

I love this show, but, I pretty much expect it to get cancelled every season. When it doesn't, it's a pleasant surprise.

I don't blame NBC for putting it up against BBT. The whole reason the show has stuck around is to help pad out the roster while they try and break in new shows. They rather Parks and Rec take the hit against the juggernaut than sacrificing a new show. The new show can still theoretically go onto become a big hit and give them programming for years. In a best case scenario for Parks, it squeezes out another season or two.

The show has done pretty well for itself given that it never found a large audience. Six seasons is damn good. If it goes out at the end of this season, it'll probably be able to say that it kept it's quality standards high throughout its run, which is hard to do for as long as it has.

I assume "BBT" means the Big Bang Theory. If so, I can't imagine why it airing at the same time as Parks and Recreation would matter. The ******** community isn't going to flock to a show like this regardless of whether its favorite show is on at the same time.

What a fantastic first episode!

My god, I squealed like a little girl a few times in this episode.

How can I not find a gif of Ron with the flock of sheep yet? That was glorious.

This show is so stupid. They have to explain a lot of their jokes to the audience. But I still like it and I plan to watch every episode.
