I expect Matteau to sit infront of the goalie. Not move unless someone moves him.

Love seeing all my Flyers friends on Facebook complaining already... "WHY isn't the Flyers game on right now!?!?!"... Gonna be a long season.

Good. I'm also hoping he uses his size to his advantage along the boards.

That first line is ugly. I don't think Zubrus is enough of an offensive machine for the first line, but maybe he can be with those two. I actually like the way the second line looks better (Pending Tedenby actually producing)

I don't prefer Zubrus on the first line any more than I do Clarkson if Kovy were to move to the left.

I had the same thought at first about Zubrus, but then I remembered the same line burning down the league, except with Palmieri instead of Zubrus. Then I didn't feel so bad.

Zubrus is not supposed to be the offensive engine on the top line. That's Zajac and Kovy. Zubrus is there for his board work, space clearing, goalie screening, and defensive ability.

We'll see, but I'm hoping Zajac and Zubrus will forecheck and cycle well together, and Kovy can take advantage of the space gained by that.

I'm excited to see what Matteau can do too. You know Kovy is going to be double shifted with him most of the time.

Alright you got a point there. Napalm stunk too!

I'm excited for Matteau too, but I'm not sure he can do much with Janssen. Maybe he would do well with Kovy if he can play some time with him. Or even Zubrus. New 666 line!

Janssen will play <5 minutes as always. Kovy is clearly going to be doubleshifting on that line, and with Matteau and Yayo, he'll have enough talent to work with.

I just hope we don't double shift Kovy as much as last year. I keep thinking what he looked like in the playoffs.

In a short season, I'm not worried about him.

Yeah this is why I hate this lineup, they're going to be compelled to play Kovy 25-30 minutes again, especially since he's the only forward really in game shape.

I like the first line a lot. I think they will mesh together well.

I agree I don't like him getting double shifted from the get go but that is what happens when you dress goons that can't contribute in the game either. But they won't get icetime once we, knock on wood, make the playoffs so whatevs

I'm more worried, they'll be playing a game essentially every other day and Kovy could be getting icetime equivalent of a defenseman.

Josefson and Tedenby have been skating all season too. And Matteau's played 35 games for BLB.

I still am since he has been playing since September which is already longer then everyone else. I still think he only averaged 19 minutes a game over there though.
