MTSC Upgrades?

Does anyone know what, if any, upgrades have been made to the MTSC during the off-season/lockout?

I heard/read somewhere that supposedly they have installed more urinals up on the 300 level somehow, but nothing specific.

I've heard they have added more urinals in the 300s, a big tv screen on the main concourse and a new sound system in the 300s as well.
Don't have a link for it though. Believe they were talking about this on 1290.

I recall when I renewed my seasons the guy said there would be nothing major, and that a lot of things we wouldn't even see. I imagine a weight room for our players. He was pretty sure the seats were going to stay the same.

He was cognizant of the urinal problem in the upper concourse. Said it was probably the biggest issue.

I can confirm that there were significant sound upgrades for the 300 level.

Edit: I don't mean to sound like an 'insider' but my brother worked on the project.

I believe there were significant sound reinforcement upgrades for the whole building.

Thought they were to boost the wi-fi signal in the building as well... it was not too good last year but one can hope they have fixed this for this season.

I did see the big tv at the main entrance (Portage and Donald corner) as I walk past it on my way to work in the morning. It's nice seeing some hockey highlights on the TSN news loop now (even if it's old footage) rather than seeing Fehr and Bettman having their tiff. lol

Like the Habs have with the flames trailing the players? That would be cool.

Was it confirmed that the seats are blue now? Can't really tell from any of the pictures.

I walked by the other day and peered in from Donald Street. I don't think they were changed, but I'll be walking by there tonight, and will let you know.

Yup. Lots of teams have them. Those pump-up videos before the game? I bet they'd make everyone go nuts if, instead of showing on the scoreboard, they were the size of the entire ice surface!

Yeah, awesome.

Would be great if they put radio feed speakers in the restrooms. I'm not sure if i'm mistaken and they actually do this already.
Having the grating removed on the upper deck barriers and replaced with plexiglass would be great as well.
Time will tell, but looking forward to the new upgrades.

They need a TV in each restroom. With radio feed maybe I dunno.

I remember my ticket rep telling me at ticket selection time that the people in 300 section with views obstructed by the press box would get TV's this year so they can see a scoreboard.

I can confirm that the WiFi signals were upgraded big time. Also added signal boosters in the area so it doesnt take 20mins to receive/send text messages
. Last year the tower was only supposed to support 300 phones

The game presentation will only be improved this year. I get the impression that TSNE wants some of it to be surprise.

I was hoping they would have made upgrades to the My Account feature on their site, but after logging in today it doesn't seem it was worked on.

Also, I noticed they have got my balance owing showing. Wonder how fast they'll want money from the people who took the refund, or people like myself that stopped the monthly payments.
