You came pretty close. I'd be doubting the abilities of the judge and pushing even harder than you were before to win other contests.

I'm saying that doubting your talents after a minor setback is a fool's errand. Keep at it.

Its tough getting into Fox Network shows because they are itchy with the trigger finger in terms of cancelling them after one season.

Don't think I've watched a FOX show as it aired since 24. Did recently watch Prison Break, which the first two seasons were great... but that was something I caught on Netflix.

I'm not holding my breath with this show. I think the idea will get old and played out after 15-20 episodes, and that's if they even do it right from the beginning. Last night was a pretty damn good episode, though, good enough to watch another 2 or 3. However, they can very easily screw it up with all these followers and have it taken of the list of shows to record. We'll see...

I never get into television series. If I at home watching television, I watch sports. There are a few couple exceptions. You might as well throw on a movie or go out instead.

Eh, when you have bills to pay and stuff, and it's not exactly always easy to "just go out." Not to mention after a full day of work, hitting up the gym for an hour or so, making dinner, taking the dog for a walk... after that, it's nice to just sit and watch some TV with a cold drink and relax.

TV series are so much better than movies, and when you get a girlfriend/wife who won't let you watch sports every hour you're watching tv, you will learn to love TV series. There are so many great ones that keep you hooked for so long.

I watch Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Mad Men, Sons of Anarchy, Boardwalk Empire, Dexter, and I'm glad they are only 12 episodes roughly a season but thank God for DVR. Don't have patience or time for those commercials

Neither of these are comparable to watching a TV series

TV shows are better than movies. For 1, who's got 90 minutes to watch a movie? F that noise. 2, TV shows aren't over with in 90 minutes. I'd rather watch something weekly with the same characters and whatnot.

As for going out, once you join the real world you'll realize that it isn't something you do on a nightly basis.

Tv series allow a much, much larger amount of time for character growth. King of the hill is fantastic, but it takes a solid 15 episodes of character building to fall in love with the show.

Reports of a shooting that took place in or near a college campus just outside of Houston...

Quote:
HOUSTON (AP) — A Texas college has gone into a lockdown amid reports of a shooter on campus.
Jed Young is the spokesman for the Lone Star College System campus in north Harris County. He says a shelter-in-place order has been issued.
Emergency personnel have responded to the Houston-area college campus.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office had no immediate details.

I'd just rather watch a movie like I do once in awhile rather than spend a half hour a week watching a series.

1 shooter still on the run, at least 1 person caught. Doesn't seem like anyone has died, yet at least. One person said they saw someone shot in the leg, nothing reported beyond that.

It's just so easy to get behind. Once I'm behind, I'll just say **** it and not continue watching. That's the kind of lazy person I can be at times.

This is one of the things I am worried about when I go to college. However, it can happen at any time, to anyone, anywhere.

Initial reports are that it was 2-3 guys near the library, got in an argument, and guns came out.

2 people to the hospital, confirmed by the police. No details on the injuries.
