I never thought I would be excited to go to Wrigley field. But I got lucky and got through for Pearl Jam seats that went on sale this morning. Got first row in section 17...which is kinda behind home plate. The stage is in deep center so I'll be a ways back, but whatever. This is going to be a blast

Yeah, they got my 50 bucks for game center but I returned the favor by watching in-market games via proxy server. Can't let the man keep you down.

I bit the bullet and paid the $50 as well for gamecenter. It's pretty nice when the wife is working to be able to watching any game I want live, or the next day when there's no hockey on yet. Plus, since I work really early, when the Hawks play on the west coast I usually decide not to watch the games til the next day, and gamecenter helps me out with that.

Weekly weigh in report.... lost five more pounds this week, making it 30 pounds lost for the year so far!

Was at 222, now at 192, getting ever closer to my goal of 175.

Good for you. Similar numbers I'm in the process of trying to achieve. Started at about 225, working my way down to my playing weight of 185-190. I'm in the 215-220 range right now. Getting below 200 will be a nice milestone. It's been a while since I've been below that mark.

In other news, income tax refund is scheduled to come Wednesday which means upgrades/additions to my drum kit are to follow.

As a roller coaster/theme park enthusiast, seeing the SLC knockoffs by all of the Chinese companies infuriates me. It's like, this is their thought process:

- Copy awful coaster, make it worse
- Don't keep up with maintenance
- Get turned down by IAAPA
- ???
- Profit?

Serious question: at what age will all my pop-drinking, candy-glaming, fast food-eating habits catch up to me?

I don't want them to catch up to me, so when the hell should I start watching what I eat and drink?

It's never too early or too late. My friendly advice is to start now.

It started for me freshmen or sophomore year in college. I are lots and drank pop before that, then I started getting a belly. I'd suggest working out and staying in shape. It's much easier than letting yourself go a little, and then trying to get back in shape.

What's the method to your weight loss? I need to get on a diet and start running again.

Very similar to an Atkins diet. Limiting myself to maximum of 20 grams of carbs a day to force my body to enter ketosis to rapidly burn fat and eating a heavy protein diet, so meat every day. For the purposes of this diet, you don't need to worry about fat or cholesterol or calories, just cut out carbs. i.e. - no bread, no regular soda, no sweets, etc., etc., etc.

I also used to walk every for between 45 minutes to an hour and a half, but I've gotten off of that thanks to the snow and it getting bitterly cold. I hope to go back to that walking routine once it's reliably above freezing again.

The trick will be when I transition back to a regular diet, with ordinary levels of carbs, as I will have to slowly build up the levels in my diet otherwise I'll probably balloon like crazy and gain a significant chunk of the lost weight fast.

I drink around three cans of Mountain Dew a day, snack on Dots, Swedish Fish, etc., and eat a lot of fast food. I've had Chick-Fil-A twice in the last few days, Jimmy Johns, and had a greasy Palermo's (grocery store) pizza.

I know I can't do it forever.

However, there is no signs of it catching up now. I am amazingly still in really good shape. My metabolism is good for now.

You might not be gaining weight but that's still incredibly unhealthy for your body and teeth. There's more to a diet than just weight maintenance. My lord.

Diets. Oh boy. Well i usually skip breakfast due to school being so early or because i wake up late trying to get some of that missed sleep. I sometimes skip lunch due to yearbook and working. And when i dont i eat alot. Rarely eat at home nowadays. Dinner is always pretty big. Or not if I had a late lunch. I'm on the skinny side but maintaining a healthy weight of 125. I think eating less actually helps me gain weight because the body tries to accommodate for the lack of calories by storing and saving it so when I eat alot I gain weight. Normally I eat more but I've had a busy couple of weeks.

Who are you referring to? If me, I'm taller than that and heavier for sure.
