Meh, we're getting the hang of it slowly but surely. Just need some energy (hits).

Was that shift by the third line there the most ice time we've had in their zone all night? Felt like it.

It's just the first period of the season.

Not worried at all.

Alright we didn't look great but it was looking better at the end there. I expect a bounce back 2nd.

Silver lining: Lapanta is less of a homer than Terhaar was. Fewer voice cracks, too!

End of the 1st looked good already. Gotta love Parise's hustle.

Now off for a smoke. I don't mind the 0-1 too much, we still have time to score plenty. We had what, one or two proper scoring chances there? The guys are just heating up.

Its going to be 15 games before we even have a clue about how good this team is. No sense worrying about the first 20 minutes. I fully expect the next 40 minutes to be better.

Bäckström is by far my biggest worry, he looks slow as hell out there, offense will get going eventually (even if it takes a few games)

Toronto-Montreal game ended, so streams with sound should start appearing soon.

The good news is we have Yeo in the dressing room and not Richards. I'd like to blame it on not having a preseason, but the Avs didn't have one either. And they look like superstars right now. If it's rust....nerves....whatever, they gotta step it up. Don't think just because you're home with a pretty new roster that you can coast and not take your opponent seriously.
