I think it needs to start on Kellogg, go east through Minneapolis, past Sid Hartman's house, all the way up through Vancouver, all the way back down to Cambridge (to pick me up), and then end back at the Xcel.

Sure, no one may see it coming. Sure, some may laugh at us. But that's not the first time this has happened. Remember when those non-believers laughed at Minnesota for having the ****ing audacity to offer free agent contracts?

"Who do these guys think they are," those people said. "This is the NHL. We think it's cute Minnesota fans come out to support a team that has missed the playoffs four straight years*. Go back to your hockey-loving state and let the big boys play."

They said Zach Parise...he wants to play with Sidney Crosby. He wants to play for a winner. They said Ryan Suter wants to be the next Niklas Lidstrom and a Detroit Red Wing.

You know what? They said a lot of wrong ****.

Who saw Minnesota signing BOTH Zach Parise and Ryan Suter? No ****ing one. That's who. It's a New World Order in St. Paul with those two, Finnish Baby Jesus, the ****ing all-star and Mikko Koivu. This team has an actual top-six and isn't a cheapshot injury away from starting Warren Peters - there's depth in the State of Hockey!

And best of all in the State of Hockey, this is Hockey Day Minnesota! We have outdoor high school hockey. We have Minnesota-North Dakota. And we have NHL Hockey. So fans, get your ****ing ass out there, post about the Minnesota Wild and watch the beginning of the NHL season and a new era in history!

Sure "they" might not say that...but what do they know? (This has been "A pregame speech to replace 24/7")

Hell of a post!!

I'm so excited

Couldn't sleep, doubt I will. My grandmother always used to say: "hunger is the best spice." She was right. The lockout has done nothing but build my enthusiasm for hockey.

So pumped for this. Im going out drinking tonight for the first time in like 3 months, must not pass out before the game begins (2 or 3 AM in here Finland?).

OT: Where do other Finns (or europeans) watch the games? Ive always just watched 2-4 games/week on 4Sport or some ****** stream, but now that I can decide my own working hours I'd like to buy some sort of package so I can watch whatever games I want. This has been discussed many times Im sure but too busy atm to search lol

That's not a bad idea. The team has their puck shelf where they add a puck for every win. We need something to that effect.

Do you have that "MiG-64" image ready for the season?

Well, Viaplay has the rights to show NHL in Finland, but they force you to buy the TV and movie package along with the sports package, so it costs 17/month.

Your best bet is to buy NHL Center Ice. You can't do that that normally in Finland but if you use an American proxy (or in fact ANY proxy outside Scandinavia and Finland), you can get it to work. You only need the proxy for initial registration. You can find more detailed guide from Jatkoaika.com.

One of the FBJ's many nicknames = MiG-64

Sounds like a soviet Fighter Jet... and his initials MiG (the i to identify him from his brother) matches the lettering for the Soviet MiG's as well.

Thus you were going to plaster Wild colors and label it a MiG-64 on a Soviet jet...
